HOOPS IN THE SUN & K1X / May 5, 2008 / 9:00 am

Shoe and apparel brand K1X is now sponsoring the Hoops in the Sun League (Orchard Beach, Bronx) for the 2008 season. HITS CEO Randy Cruz stated, “K1X was looking to be part of a basketball program that demonstrated professionalism and a prestigious track record, where their brand and products can grow and expand throughout New York City and the Tri-State area and as always, we were looking to do something different.”

K1X player signees include NYC’s elite: “Homicide,” “Big Game” Reid, “Primal Fear,” Rick Apodaca and “The Undertaker.” The German company will be hitting US stores with new sneakers all summer, including the 187 the model. Hoops In the Sun, now in its 9th season, has been previously sponsored by Nike and adidas.
