I finished my Pelham Fritz 38 and Over League basketball season with two disappointing losses in the Semi-Finals, however my feet were very happy to close it out with two very scrumptious choices. Thing is, I can’t decide which combo I like better:

The 1st Gil are more attractive to me, however I’d give the nod to the Zero IIs for performance. What do you think?

I test-wear all brands and review shoes’ performance in my “Let’em Marinate” Bounce Magazine column. Spring issue #14 is out now, order it at our online store or subscribe now! Issue #15, featuring the Gil Zero II and more, will be out in June.

Word. In all respectable estimations, I think Gilberto has the best signature line in the past few years. As we both know, there too few great lows to play in, so we have to load up on them when there’s a solid release like these. I’d play in both– any day, anywhere, any time.

I’ve seen more people wearing Adidas shoes now than ever… But I can’t say I’d play in them anywhere. See: Spike Lee’s masterpiece, “She’s Gotta Have It.”

Both are so slick. I felt the zero’s were a little bit more stable and had slightly better grip. The lightswitches feel a little bit lighter and quicker to me. I just picked up a 2nd pair of the lightswitches in a sweet colorway. Cant wait to rock em.

Performance wins over style when you’re in a serious league, you can have thousands of sneakers but you only get two feet so you gotta take care of them1

You should rock one on the left foot, and rock the other one on the right foot.
