“Traveling at the speed of light,” is usually applied to some futuristic car or vacuuming product that will cure all of someone’s everyday ailments. The saying has almost become synonymous in our culture, and is often used to generate or spark interest in something. And that’s exactly what I aim to do here. A few months back, adidas dropped the TS Lightspeed as part of the company’s “It Takes 5ive” initiative. As the months have passed, the shoe has remained out of the limelight, overshadowed by newfangled butters like the Jordan XX3, Nike Zoom Kobe III, and Reebok Answer 11. Surely, all of the aforementioned releases deserve some form of acclaim, but at the same time, the Lightspeed is a wonderful product, both in form and function.

Cushioning wise, the shoe is fairly firm underfoot, but if you like a bit more of an unforgiving cushioning surface like I do, you’ll love these like Flavor Flav digs those women on yet another season of his *oh* so scintillating VH1 reality show. The ankle notch is plush like a Serta, while the lacing vamp is fairly wide set, and should be accommodating to various foot widths. The shoe fits like Latrell’s hands around PJ’s neck, (Moses, I HAD to bring that line back!) as there is no internal movement on even the sharpest of cuts. The upper is comprised of an intriguing assemblage of reflective material, patent leather, and a smooth synthetic.

Thanks Ana and Kristen!

they sent you the Pitt Panther calcium-enriched multi-vitamins. very healthy. i’m type jealous! but i’m happy for you, too, young grasshopper. you’ve earned those.

shout out to the Ultra-Magnetic MCs Kool Keith and Ced Gee, the first hip hop group to travel at the speed of thought.

haha! “assaulting my budget . . .” that’s hilarious. don’t worry, ali–hopefully after you get your name more out there with bounce, you too will start getting blessed with tasty morsels out the salad bar of sneaker company goodies . . .

    Bob-

yo, it’s definitely a blessing to be hit off with the exclusive promotional butters at my age. Gotta keep pushing myself to be better overall though.

Teddy/Ali- I’m not sure these will be releasing, but I’m really glad you like them. There’s a couple pairs on eBay now, but if they end up not dropping through Eastbay, I can’t say I’ll be mad. :) And all the people that I’ve talked to who work for shoe/clothing companies are incredibly nice, and extremely supportive of what Bounce is doing!

i just played in the ts pro models tonight and they were mad comfy. now if i could just feel as comfortable with the new form on my jumpshot i’d be alright . . .
