Sketch-Fu! / Apr 21, 2008 / 9:22 am

Sketches are the foundation for every sneaker, shoe, boot, sandal, and loafer. Those Jordan XXI PE’s you’re wearing right now? Yep, you can thank designer Mike Ditullo for putting those together. How about those adidas TS Lightpeeds you were hooping in earlier this afternoon? You can thank former adidas (he’s at Pony now) designer Kyle Pulli for crafting those.

My point is, designers and their initial sketches are often forgotten in today’s fast paced sneaker world. “Sketch-Fu” posts will be dedicated to sweet concept sketches, sketch developments, and those behind them.

This is a great idea sort of like concept car drawings. I could see someone collecting the drawings of those that never got made.
