Kobe’s Alma Mater? Whatever! / Apr 18, 2008 / 8:30 am

Got BUSY on some Lower Merion HS (PA) kids at the park yesterday. A 3 to start the roughhouse, hit the 3 free treys, another 3 in someone’s eye, then another 3 freebies . . . they were like, “Who are you?!?!”

Meanwhile my son Coletrane is doing his thing on the kiddie court. Gotta love it.

geroy! i graduated from lower merion hs in ‘84, over a decade before kobe. we were nice back then, too, but no where the level he brought it too when he shattered the school’s scoring record and led us to the state title. it’s the suburbs of philly, but don’t sleep–so is Chester where All-American Tyreke “Reke Havoc’ Evans is brewing right now. when i was down there, we played for hours everyday. hard.

tried and true nu yawka, teddy ted, but i was in an academic program that sent inner-city minority students away to school so we could prep for college. it’s called A Better Chance (ABC). that’s how i landed in PA.
