The BALL4LIFE movement is moving full throttle. We did some winter games, and now the bigger events are arriving. Our first huge one will be in Brazil and Chile. I’m really excited to be a part of the team and can’t wait to go out there. I recently signed with BALL4LIFE, and I’d like to officially thank Main Event and Shane Woney for putting me down. It means a lot to be playing with guys that I grew up watching. I still can remember being mesmerized at watching the And 1 Mixtape Volume 1 and 2. I might have been in the 7th grade and my mind couldn’t grasp what I was watching. I had never seen that style of play before. It was real basketball mixed in with fancy dribbling and flash. BALL4LIFE is bringing that style back!
Also notice the flyer above. My government name is up there with all the street ball legends. That means more to me than the nickname I received and use at most events. Even though I didn’t give myself my name like most do nowadays, in this day and age, I really didn’t earn it. Guys like Main Event, Shane, Spyda, Pharm, Pat, 50, and all the others on the poster (and those that people know who are real and have earned their names) have all worked hard to earn their nicknames by playing at EBC, West 4th, and other playgrounds for years. I’ve also played in most of these leagues, but haven’t done the damage that they have and I’ll admit that. Truthfully, I feel I should use my real name until I earn the name I was given. I’m still a “TV player.” I’ll use my moniker for these events for marketing purposes and it’s a part of the whole show. Nowadays, everyone on the court has a nickname or comes into the park with one that they’ve given themselves.
I’m truly happy to be down with BALL4LIFE since I’ve wanted to for so long…officially. A lot of people I’ve done business with before them have been phonies. Main Event and Shane Woney are some of the realest guys I know. People who really know them know what I’m talking about!
Be on the lookout for many more events starting this summer! The BALL4LIFE tour has only just begun…

joseph! congrats! that’s crazy. i think your life changed when you shut me out 11-zip in 1 on 1 at mt. morris park that day four years ago, so i take all the credit for your confidence! haha! that’s cool that you’re official now too, cuz i can talk about the time i destroyed you at the Y the first time we met–you couldn’t stop me!

Thanks…That first day I met you in 9th grade, that was so crazy. You didn’t miss a shot and you were shooting from NBA. That was a tough day. Especially cuz’ u were dropping those three’s in my face with my pops watching! That was payback in Harlem.

I was there when Ball 4 Real put it on at Mousy’s Tournament. It was a great game. AO is the real deal. The whole team plus the bleachers were guarding him and he still got the game winning shot off. He looks frail, but he’s a tough dude.
The 720 dude should be called “Frogger” cuz his hops were crazy.
Am i dating myself with frogger? lol peace.

I could have returned to Juco or took a couple D2 scholarships in small places, but passed for certain reasons. Only way I’m headed back for ball with school is if it’s in LA…That’s where I’m in the process of trying to move to. Thanks for the support
