The Capitol Classic has featured some of the best young ballers in the country ready to make the transition from playground, high school and AAU onto the major college level. For over 30 years, the game has provided a sneak peak at the marinating talent that will soon blossom on national tv.

Here’s a smattering of names that have dropped jaws at the Classic during its illustrious history - MJ, Lebron, Dwight Howard, Mark Aguirre, Kenny, James Worthy, Dominique, Chris Paul, Patrick, Ralph Sampson, Amare, Moses Malone, Carmelo, JKidd, Magic and Muggsy, among many others.

A few years back, Russell Robinson from Rice High School, who just won the NCAA Chip with Kansas, was locking down Jordan Farmar, Rajon Rondo, AJ Price and Joe Crawford in practices that were only open to the media.

On Sunday at the Comcast Center in College Park, Maryland, B-More’s 6-foot-5 Sean Mosely did what he always does - play strong, get buckets, grab re’s, toss in a few dimes and shine with a team first mentality. Sean, pictured below, will help the Maryland Terps get back into the dance next year. He dropped 16 w/ 4 re’s, 6 assists and 2 steals in 20 minutes, including some ill yams mixed in with long range 3’s.

Also representing for “Bawdimor” (as the locals say it) was Georgetown bound big man, 6-foot-10 Henry Sims, who had 17 joints, 7 re’s and 5 blocks. Sims has some athleticism, can run the floor, thirsts to toss your weak layups into the stands and will be a very solid contributor for the Georgetown post rotation.

Other young fellas who shined included Duke bound Olek Czyz from Reno, Nevada, Georgetown bound and DC area native Chris Braswell, Andre Cornelius who’s headed to George Mason and Max Kenyi, another DC product who Tommy Amaker almost got his hands on at Harvard, who’ll be running PAC-10 next year with Stanford.

did nigel miguel have to wear his tight shorts so high up on his waist?

looks like jordan got his shot punched, but knowing him he probably hung in the air 5 more seconds and triple pumped before letting go the pumpkin . . .

Amaker is *almost* pulling in big name recruits, huh?!
