    bob,

this is so great.. u do so much for these kids, and how fulfilling was it for them to name a court after you? (not that u do anything for recognition) damn man, if any of us could just be half the person u are, we would make such an impact..

much love, peace and success for u and the bounce fam in the 08..

i def got atleast 1 or 2 pairs that i have worn once or never to contribute.. im on that shit..

  2. Claude says:

Man, EVERYBODY has too many sneakers. All except for them. Thanks for the info.

Samaritan’s Feet is an amazing organization. They make trips to very poor areas across the global to donate sneakers to people without shoes.

For most of these people the sneakers make the difference between being able to walk to get water or walk for food and work or just survival. Imagine living without shoes in the US where the roads are at least paved.

If the children get to play basketball as well and it raises their spirits that’s even better.

I know the founder of Samaritan’s Feet and he is one exceptional guy. Gave up a corporate job to devote his life to this worthy cause. He’s a damn good basketball player as well. Took his passion for sneakers and did something with it to make the world a better place.

The sneakers they are now producing look great and are unique, nothing exactly like them in the market so if your a collector then get one give one, but more importantly consider helping others if you fortunate in life to even afford to have shoes.

For all those out there, Ray above is my oldest brother, and the one person who inspired me to get into sneaker culture as i did when i was coming up as a shorty. mad love to him for dropping a comment on behalf of samaritan’s feet.

my brother will also boast that he taught me all the tricks i know, but i’ll leave that one alone . . .

    Ray…Whattup man!

I’ve got 12-15 pairs of size 13 adi. and Nike training and hoops sneakers going to these organizations soon.

  6. Bakar says:

Yo, this is a great way to kick off 2k8. I myself should tone down my sneaker habit and help the less fortunate. They’re better off on the feet of a hoopin’ kid than collecting dust in my closet… and who knows, maybe that kid will end up averaging 20/5/5.

I am looking for info on your recycling program to make a ground covering from sneakers.
