Which joints go better with my Pelham Fritz 38 And Over League Warriors shorts? Got one regular season game left, then the play-offs. Which do I finish the season with?

adidas TS Pro Model X Gabriel Urist

adidas A3 Superstar Ultra (my camera’s battery died so forgive me for the zoomed out photo by Kelvin Jones, and pay no mind to the fact that I was looking at the ball–I was dead tired!)

Converse 099

Nike Team Elite II Shox

adidas Speed Creator

As you all well know, I test-wear all brands and review shoes’ performance in my “Let’em Marinate” Bounce Magazine column. In Winter Issue #13, I voted the Speed Creator “Most Flavor Performance Low.” Issue #14 featured the Team Elite II Shox as “Most Flavor Performance Hi.” The O99 and TS Pro Model will definitely catch rek in issue #15 due out in June.

The Gabe Urist joints are a piece of art. The silk ankle collar patterning is fantastic. Colorblocking is supberb, but I’m not sure if I could get down with the woodgrain midsole–does it look cool in person? Nevertheless, I hear the newest Pro Models perform well, and I wish I could’ve grabbed a pair for myself. Glad to see they’ll be catching some rek in the June issue.

Oh, and pulling out the uber-ORANGE Superstar Ultras on me I see. Now those are crispy. You know how I feel about that design. They’re incredibly comfortable too thanks to the Cat Tongue (what adi. called the velvety smooth lining) inner, and the full-length canted a3 units. Oooh wee! Hot shoe.

Something draws me to the 099. I guess I really like how they worked the upper. It all seems to come together in a rather compelling package. And I love the silver heel counter and noticeable swoosh on the Elites.

I guess you could go with any pair here and you’d be solid…haha!

the ref is none other than playground legend ron ‘the terminator’ matthias, father of current asphalt all-star quinton ‘t2′ hosely. ron led the nation in juco scoring back in the ’80s, and once scored 108 points in an upward fund league game in harlem. word.

Agree with JR on the ‘wow’ factor of the Gabriel Urist joints, but coordination-wise they don’t really match the shorts. Overall, I still go with the Speed Creators.
