LS and the Lincoln squad took their 3rd PSAL chip in a row yesterday. The 2008 Finals were not what they usually are, specifically in the attendance category. The total numbers were tallied and there were 2,000 fans, and 5,000 police officers. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen. I wish I know what that cost the city. As for the game, the Railsplitters dominated from the tip-off. At one point they lead by 40. Fans were taunting Boys & Girls saying “Lance is beating y’all by himself. Lance 26, Boys & Girls 24.” The scary thing is that was about right. Lincoln played exceptionally well as a team. I was most impressed with their defense. The Kangaroos rarely got past perimeter defenders and when they did help D was there to take the charge.

Lance walked away with another MVP trophy and now has the opportunity to win 4 city titles in 4 years. Congratulations to the entire Lincoln program.

Lance is a pro. What he did at the Garden yesterday just wasn’t fair. The Knicks could have used him last night.

  2. Justin says:

I would have to agreed with you on that one. Especially since he still has one more year. I think it is crazy that Stern hasn’t lifted the ruling yet. Lance would be a lottery pick.

I was watching the MSG telecast and Mike Quick was really heated that Lincoln skipped some dinner on Friday. Anyone know more about this?

  4. Justin says:

Yeah, the PSAL has a banquet dinner on Friday to honor all the teams. Lincoln never showed.

  5. Saku 39 says:

Hmmm…not cool. I remember Quick saying that Lincoln was the only no show. I am hopeful that this wasn’t a case of Lincoln thinking they were bigger than the PSAL.

  6. Killa Cal says:

what does it matter if they showed up to the dinner or didint show. They won, took another banner back to the school its over! next year we might see the same thing

My Props go out to the Boys at Lincoln H.S. In Coney Island on the W but on the real that was the wackest championship game i ever seen No wonder why most people believe the catholic league is the toughest. one reason why is Boys and Girls didn’t show up I was expecting a David Vs. Goliath Battle not a Lobsided Victory. Now i know because of the melee that happened last year they had to make changes to the crowd but damn not like that. now on mike quick Blasting Lincoln for not attending the banquet dinner I feel it was kind of messed up because probably the PSAL spent alot of money on the banquet and they found it disrespectful for lincoln not to show up but in my opinion i think that mike quick believed that The coach and the team had a big ego and thought it was really arrogant i think.

At the very least, NYPD could have put some cheering plainclothes in the stands to add some energy.

Saw lance play in trenton early this year and dude was killin from everywhere. Kev and Justin are right, this dude is ready for the L. He could probably put up decent numbers right now.
