Asphalt Phenoms of NYC …The Lost Years / Mar 12, 2008 / 4:02 pm

Back in September, Bobbito posted a blog on Asphalt Phenoms of NYC. Dorian Graham, the director and producer of the DVD, is a Rucker veteran and well-known street baller. See Bob’s review at www.bouncemag.com. —There is one curse in the middle of the clip below.

This video should reach platinum status. Although I am not a New Yorker, the city is so legendary that you have to respect game and recognize that these tourneys laid the foundation for the game of basketball and how the game is now played. I feel confortable watching this clip for one reason: Bounce Mag. The articles that cover the old King Towers tourney creates a familiarity.

I say the only thing this DVD needs as a cross promotion tool is for Bounce to collect all of the main features that talk about the old school tourneys into one gold covered mag and put the DVD in that.

If it’s packed like this, I’m ordering quick.

Thanks for the luv Coach. I love the mag man and as carzy as it is, I actually practice the moves from the mag at the Y in the morning. You’re never too old to work on your game. I had to utilize that crossover on this cat who was mad at me and called me garbage to save face, I commenced to giving him ten straight from all over the court and never said a word. I had to run home and tell the wife I was like Eddie Kane from the Five Heartbeats, “I still got it!”

Anyway, I definitely look forward to hearing from you and anything I can do to help I’m down when time permits. Drop me an e-mail and I’ll do the same.

Oh the shoes… There is nothing like this kick out right now. The pictures don’t do the shoe justice at all.

Keep up the good work on the mag. Oddly enough The White Issue is one of my favorite joints out of the group and I have everyone from the tiny pocket BOUNCE.
