Congratulations to Seton Hall’s Jeremy Hazell, St. John’s Justin Burrell, and Villanova’s Corey Fisher on making the Big East All-Rookie team. All of these players have represented hard on the playground over the past few years at Kingdome, Tri-State, and EBC respectively.
Check this video about Corey Fisher’s background and how he rose above family strife to make it to top-level D1 ball.
wow. did not know he was related to guy fisher. ray rivera told me corey is part puerto-rican, too, although not many people know that. great clip, sean–thanks for putting that up!
see this film is interesting to me…a few years ago, corey mustve been a junior in high school…i watched him play at west 4th…
now the kid could play and i knew he’d be something special, but his attitude completly neggated him playing…profanity at everyone, at fans…thinking he was the next mj…as a bystander watching, i got a horrible view of him
wow it’s crazy that most of the big east all rookie team is from Harlem and the Bx must be some thing special no disrespect to all the big east players from the NYC area that just goes to show you that New York and the Big east have so much more in common more than just the big east tourney being at the garden.
-now on fisher i like his style of play he’s a sneaky athletic type player i saw videos on you tube of him dunking in the IS8 tournament he has a bright future in basketball if he works much harder
being young and in charge sometimes leads to a feeling of
being able to speak and say things at people w/ thinking. Age and maturity usually solve those moments when the mouth might make a few mistakes. I’m sure if you met em and talked to him he would be a whole different person.
Awesome clip my man…I think it’s great that Fish is levelheaded, and respects the duality of both hitting books and hitting the hardwood with responsibility. I really enjoyed watching him in a few games this year, and think he has a pretty bright future. Does anyone remember the G’Town vs. Nova game at G’Town? A Wildcat hacked Johnathon Wallace with less than a second to go and he sealed the win.
No doubt josh, i see your up on your short hand. Being young means you hopefully have time for mistakes and the benefit of the doubt. Anyway let’s see how fish pans out in 4 years.
