Bal Sak / Mar 10, 2008 / 12:22 pm

balsakYo!!! Things have been crazy hectic here at the office for the past few months. The crew has been going non-stop, resulting in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Once in a while we get a comedic reprieve though, and today was one of them. Bal Sak showed up in the mail, and I was rolling. I mean come on . . . the logo, the name? As if that weren’t enough the tag line is, “Grab your Bal Sak and Go!” Check them out at www.bal-sak.com.

This product is geared for the non-hetero ball player. It’s all about diversity.

The sak may be cool for ball heads, but it def ain’t HIP HOP. I need to stop being such a vibe crusher! LOL! “Grab Your Bal-Sak” and go back to the drawing board!

  6. Bakar says:

Aside from the name, isn’t that a simple cinch sack that you can get from any Wal-Mart?

  7. Jeremy Ripley says:

I might have to grab a pair of the Bal-Sak boxers…

  8. Adriana J says:

That thing is great…LOL. Actually no, it’s not just a cinch sack…I checked out the website and it’s actually made out of basketball leather….it’s like an actual basketball made into a backpack. Sweet!

I can assure you the bal-sak is the real deal! It is NOT just a cinch-sack, like those cheap vinyl ones. It is made from basketball leather - period. I have 2 AAU travel basketball teams, and all of my kids have them. Every team we play — whether they are white, black, mexican, or asian — LOVE them. For those that say these are for non-hetero or non-street people, tell that to groups of 15 and 16 year olds from Compton, Inglewood, NYC, etc!!! I guarantee if you grab a bal-sak, everybody that sees it will want one!

I saw these at a bball tournament in Santa Monica and my son went crazy! Bought one for him and now all his friends want one - great quality so I’m sure this one will actually last him for a while. Might have to purchase a couple more!

  12. Mama Col says:

Wow- my son bugged me for days to get on that website and order him one. Can’t seem to be at a b-ball tournament in southern Calif. without spotting one. I gave in and parted ways with me hard earned cash. Good decission. Now he has a bag to carry those new Kobe’s in. He wears a size 15 and they fit in there fine. Bag is even lined so no holes like in the vinyl when it gets dragged across the court. I wonder if all that leather really came from a basketball, sure feels like it.
