Yes, 30 and over but 6′4″ and under! The Rego Park Classic (Queens) has been in existence for over a decade. Last year the Brew Crew, led by MVP “Speedy” Williams, took the chip. Want to compete against former St. John’s standout Greg “Boo” Harvey or West 4th Legend Howie Hudson, or simply just watch and enjoy? This is the place to find all those Q Borough stars and then some.
Teams interested in registering should contact Anthony Connor: aconnor22@netzero.net or 917 567 6146

ayo, for real . . . i put howie hudson in the same breath with doogie and term as the best scorers i’ve ever played with against in their prime. i think if howie had a mean long-range geezer off the dribble he’d a been in the pros. he’d shoot that kind of weird set shot from the top of the key, but he rarely used it cuz he could stop him from taking it the bajaa? no one! and yes, his crossover was ooh la la skatekey status ‘bye bye!’ a street monster for the ’90s decade. yo, g–my word–i crossed howie in nickelodeon once and he dropped. boom. i didn’t score afterwards, barely even had double figures that game if i remember, but dag–i held that in my chest like wow, i caught a body on howie hudson! i’m sure he doesn’t even remember me! haha! (besides, mike mccleggan gave us some disgusting fake teal tournaments shirts that year-yuch!)

Speaking of hand checks - remember NYC Battlegrounds finals 2003? Junie almost strangled Speedy with his forearm wrapped around Speedy’s neck!
