If only I was 6′11″ with:
-A 40 inch vertical.
-Defensive Speed
-Unlimited Range
-Bumpy Elbows
…
As a 6′2″ shooting guard with decent handle, pretty solid range, and no D, I’ve resigned myself to the fact that JTIII (John Thompson III) wants me on his team about as much as Roger Clemens desires that perjury trial.
Anyways, Roy Hibbert and Co. stay hooping in heat, thanks to their uber-exclusive contract with Jordan Brand. In the past, G’Town has been seen wearing exclusive XX2s and Ol’ Schools on-court (posts forthcoming–I promise). This Hoya version of the Jordan XV SE is just in time for March Madness. Grey and navy blue always seem to work well together–Oh, and with a ton of tribal patterning flavor, I can happily proclaim that these are “Rated R.”
The awesome pictures are thanks to the dedicated crew over at Marquee Sole.

I know me making a comment is kind of biased, but the colorways are hot as hell. But on the real, my second year of coaching high school (I was a head coach for real) I gave a pair of the Navy and White ones to a kid after having them for a like two weeks. They killed my feet. I just did not feel these as a pair of kicks to ball in. I had to double up on the socks constantly and couldn’t even run sprints with the kids. But like I said the colorway is killing it.

thinking of georgetown brings me back to ‘82 . . . ’sleepy’ floyd was the starting guard on the squad that lost to unc featuring frosh michael jordan. floyd wound up being a decent pro, had a couple of breakouts games with the warriors. always liked his game. he might’ve been the potent scoring 1 that school had until allen iverson rewrote all that.

I suppose I should probably clear this up…I actually am not really a fan of the XV SE, and my motivation for making this post was to address the awesome Kinte pattern. Not that I’m dissing Tinker, Jordan, and MJ himself (Tinker was one of my favorite designers because he was always willing to take risks), but people question how much I love shoes because of the lack of “Retro J’s” in my stash. My answer is: I didn’t really know MJ, and while I know him now from reading countless articles, watching highlights, classic games, etc., people have to remember I’m still kinda young. I was 2 when Jordan was rocking the V’s on the court. I vaguely remember going to watch MJ play against the Jazz in Chicago, (Chi lost by the way) and I vaguely remember his mid -90s playoff exploits. Therefore, I have no fond memories regarding MJ in a particular pair of shoes—the only thing I have to go off is how much I like the designs for what they are. I love the Jordan XI, VI, XIII, XX2, and XIV. The V’s and II’s were alright, but I consider most of the rest to be kind of misses or standard shoes. I guess this isn’t really related to the post, but I guess I’d explain my thoughts regarding the numbered Jordans and why I’m not making posts clamoring the latest Countdown packages. The XX3 is my favorite by the way…Those represent the future of where design can go as far as I’m concerned.
But in the end, props go out to Genry, MJ, Tink, and all the peoples out there who have made Jordan the success that it is!

These kicks are hot, wondering if Carolina, Cal, other Jordan schools are gonna get the same with their colors. Both the heels and the bears colors would look dope in this shoe.
