Peace-
I’m looking to immediately bring on a college or high school student to help with the weekly duties of www.bouncemag.com.
Responsibilities: posting blogs, research, and promotion.
Skills needed: writing, photoshop/wordpress proficiency, and organization.
Time commitment: 2-3 hours a week.
The position is unpaid, however you’ll receive plenty of valuable experience being under my wing and many fringe benefits (especially if you happen to be my shoe size).
Leave a couple of sentences about why you think this position should be yours.
Thank you,
Bobbito Garcia a.k.a. Kool Bob Love

Bobbito,
I think I would be a good fit for the intern position because I am as passionate about ball as anything else in life. I am such a hardcore fan that I can reel off players in the usbl, wba, and ibl. My interest is mostly in minor league and college basketball, yet I am knowledgable about pro and high school ball as well. I held it down for 13.5 hours last saturday in Trenton watching the primetime shootout and evaulating players for the future. That is dedication. It would be great to learn from a legend. Thanks.

I think this magazine is the best thing for Streetball.
It’s the only place i can find real stories on real hoops. I’m so sick of everywhere I look; guys wrapping the ball around the defender heads, rolling on the ground, putting the ball in there shorts, shirts etc. You guys are the only company keeping the order in the sport.
Now i know it’s a business and you feature some of that crapt inside(I understand) but the day you feature that nonsense on the COVER you will lose the support of basketball purist. It should be a honor to be on that cover. From hardwork in the hot summer leagues. You don’t destroy there you don’t deserve to be on that cover.
p.s. I went on the flight brothers website and they had there guys on the cover(of bounce). I’m glad it was just a joke. Please keep it real. Don’t ever sell us out!

Hey Bob. I’ll start off by saying that I visit Bounce daily, mainly to see the sneaker news, (my favorites usually being Feet on the Street posts), and the DJ events. Collecting shoes and listening to music are main hobbies of mine, and Bounce is one of my favorite sites to look to for news about both. I might not know basketball to the extent of some of the other people who are trying to get this internship, but I do believe that I’m more qualified when it comes to the skills needed. I’ve experimented with posting blogs recently, and being a college student, I know how to write and research well. I’m also fairly familiar with Photoshop and know the basic ins and outs of the program. My laptop is near me close to about ninety percent of the day and I am an organized and reliable person who gets the job done. I know I’m right for the job so let me know. —
Thanks Bob,
Ryan.

thomas 18-
the teamflightbrothers members are not scheduled to be on our cover any time soon, but they do get a lot of love on our site and will hopefully get some shine in our pages during our summer issues. on their site they posted a mock cover and clearly stated that it was not an upcoming bounce endorsed lay-out. in any event, i don’t know why you’re hatin’ on t-dub and worm. them brothers got a lot going for them and we support what they do.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Randy Millard and I am a Mass Communications major with an emphasis in General Broadcasting at Norfolk State University in Norfolk,Virginia. I was born and raised in Ocean Hill/Brownsville,Brooklyn, New York. Basketball in my neighborhood gets no better. I come from the same neighborhood where James “Fly” Williams used to bring his swagger all over the city and get buckets.Greg “Jocko” Jackson who runs a terrific program at the Brownsville Recreation Center while also not forgetting where FunSport (shout-out to Ricky Rivers and company) also hold it down. World B.Free, Gordon Malone (University of West Virginia Alum), Junie Saunders, Mookie, ummmmm who else…..look at college basketball too as of right now, Levance Fields and Eugene Lawrence. The men in life who kept the basketball all around me 24/7, my father, my uncle Chris and my uncle Vinny Vegas who is known all over the city for his tenacity on the court on both sides of the floor.I had a stint with NYHoops.com in the Summer of 2006. I am an on-air personality at my school radio station Hot 91 (http://www.hot91online.com) Bobbito…I eat, sleep, drink and perfrom every human function known to man about the game of basketball. I coach also on my free time. What else do you need? References? I got that as well.
