Which joints go better with my Pelham Fritz 38 And Over League Warriors shorts? Which do I finish the season with?

Converse 099

Nike Team Elite II Shox

adidas Speed Creator

As you all well know, I test-wear all brands and review shoes’ performance in my “Let’em Marinate” Bounce Magazine column. In Winter Issue #13, I voted the Speed Creator “Most Flavor Performance Low.” Issue #14, featuring the Team Elite II Shox and others, will be out in March.

    “Kiss my Converse!”

  3. CasUno says:

Gotta rep the “Hooks”, stay SHOXing ‘em Bob….
The Orange and white balance on those is type love anyhow….Not a Cons fan and those Adidas are far too plain to catch shine.

  4. Drew Peets says:

    What no Diadoras?

  5. CasUno says:

    hahaha, f’n Drew….
I got forced into some Diadoras in 5th grade and immediately made my parents run right back into the store for an exchange…..Converse Weapons, Celtics edition, of all exchanges to make…I think it was an upgrade, I don’t know, both lines pretty much suck to me now…
Matter a fact, Bob, please don’t run in those Converse joints for ya last game, that would be extra NO flavor.

I’ll go with the Shox and the ah-dee-dah’s. I respect the **** out of you working with those Cons. Not that they’re bone or anything, I just wouldn’t have thought of them. Ball on Bobby!!!

I will say I owe my adidas Bromiums I bought back in ‘00 because of KBL’s bigging them up. Granted Shaq hits more free throws than I actually hoop, but they were hella comfy.

  7. James Martin says:

Come on Bobbito, it’s gotta be the Cons 099. Celebrate the Converse Century!

  8. Bobbito Garcia a.k.a. Kool Bob Love says:

yo, i vaguely remember diadora’s having a basketball shoe in the ’80s, but can get a clear picture in my head. i rocked the tennis joints circa ‘87 that i featured in my book.

the bromium I were lovely, although i’d give the nod the bromium IIs for comfort. the IIIs were sexy, too. adidas, re-issue the bromiums, mang!

the 099s weren’t bad on the feet at all. i wouldn’t put them in a performance class with team elite II shox, but i’ll wear them again no doubt.

i got one more pair to put in this lottery, check back next week . . .

    Ayo-

I’d roll with the 099’s or the Shox Elite…The Ol’ School swoosh and the silver heel counter are niiiceee…

The 099’s are a shoe I’d love to hoop in. I’m loving the orange ones. Cons is definitely reconfiguring some stuff over in Oregon, expect some ill stuff this coming year from the hoop division. I’m loving the Converse Dumalis, too. Bob and others, take a look at those. Im sure James already knows what’s up.

The Bromium III’s are the best basketball shoe I’ve ever played in. The Bromium II’s were the second best, while the a3 Decade 1’s were the third best. adidas–retro these joints! Or if you’re reading this, help me find a pair of the gold/white a3 decades in a size 13!

they’re all weak sauce… but nikes look best. IMO I would go for a pair of nike zoom BB and to match warriors shorts go with the Dark Obsidian/Pimento/Ink Blue colorway

  12. Quickfast says:

DEFINATELY ROCK THE CONS….THEY LOOK FFFFRRRREEEEESSSSSHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  13. chris says:

if it were me, and we are talking strictly how they look with the shorts, im taking the adidas.. orange is the feature color in the shorts, so i wouldnt do the orange overkill thing.. not sure about function or comfort as i have never rocked any of them to play, but i just think the adidas accent the flavor of the shorts better.. the flavor in the shorts is the orange, no need to kill it with the orange kicks.. esp since the blue is more in sync with the blue on the shorts, and neither orange is really.. although if thats how u want to roll, the cons are a better match..

  14. Bakar says:

Right on, Chris. Senor Garcia, go with the Speed Creators.
