As the playground’s own Smush Parker sits at home awaiting a trade from the last place Heat, the question that beats in my mind is–who is going to trade for him? How ’bout the Knicks with some Wu Tang Clan rhythm theory. What’s that? That’s the “Protect Ya Neck” theory.

Smush’s jumpshot might be a late blooming vintage…
Protect Ya Neck theory: When all else fails shoot the ball! Start rebounding and running like animals and take shots in the first 10 seconds of the clock. Why not? Let Smush run without the ball in a fast break setting. He’s a decent defender that can knock down shots in rhythm. Maybe then we can see what many a GM has been waiting for: that perfectly rotating jumpshot going in on a consistent basis. Trade Steph when he gets healthy, if you can, or one of the younger guards, and see if you can get a conditional draft choice along with Parker. Ultimately, the Knicks are going to have to invest in one of their younger guard’s development. Someone like Smush, who I believe has been misunderstood on many levels, could develop into an exceptional NBA jump shooter and a strong on the ball defender. Talent rules in the NBA and as off-the-court flaws melt away with time, maybe a trade could solve both teams problems.

Smush is my man and I think he has all the talent in the world but I just can’t figure it out. 2 of the games greatest coaches of all time have both paid him to leave the team. Both of them can’t be wrong, can they?

I agree. Is it because his role overlaps with Kobe & Flash? But anyway, bringing him back to NY is a good idea; although it didn’t work so well with Starbury.

Smush has been with 2 of the best but sometimes it takes a different approach. I’ve known, watched and worked Smush out over the years. While he has a tendency to get hard-headed overall he is loyal. Sometimes 3 is the number.

He would kill for that new NBDL team that’s going up in Harlem.

Would you to get a one on one going with Smush?
