Nike AF1 ID on LTD’s “Hawaii” Mike.

Last week, the good people at Brand Jordan invited select press down to Pop Burger to peep the upcoming Chris Paul signature shoe dropping in February/March. I’ve met Chris a couple of times now between interviewing him for my ESPN “It’s The Shoes” series and press events for the NBA 2K8 video game of which we were both a part of. He’s a mad good dude, stupid chill and not gassed one bit. I’ve been rooting for him since Wake Forest. Jordan will be doing some community outreach in New Orleans upon release of his joint which coincides with NBA All-Star Weekend there. We’ll try to keep you posted no doubt.

The fun thing about these press events is that I get to bump into my dudes. LTD Magazine founder “Hawaii” Mike, Slam Magazine’s crew of Russ Bengston/Lang Whitaker/Khalid Salaam/Kenatta, and Dime Magazine’s Christian Grant-Fields were all up in there and then some. Most times you try to put on a sneaker by the brand hosting the event, out of courtesy of course, but Mike came out with the illy IDs! His magazine is fire, too, been reading it since day 1. Check out www.ltdmag.com for more info on it.

Shout out to the BN PR team, and Terry/Roman/Reggie from Brand Jordan for a most relaxed free meal and flavor presentation.

Hey you got half the cast of Just For Kicks with just you and Russ Bengston there! Must’ve been a good time.

Yo but those 1’s with the gum sole and the gator print are off the meat rack.

I saw CP3 wearing his shoe the other night. I wonder if Jordan Brand will have the audacity to release a turquoise/yellow shoe. If they do, count me in for a pair sometime down the line.

Is that really gator skin? Dag, those are nice. And I’m not an Air Force 1 guy.
