Ah, yes . . . the 23. I was fortunate to be invited to the United Center for the unveiling back on October 23, but all 23 of us there had to mumz the word shhh but he he he dag dem joints was fire! The white/lt. blue was the first color they lifted the felt cover off. Wow. Hottest Jordans I’d seen since the XIs. Can’t wait to see how they feel, but they hit it on the nose with the contour and design. Tinker is back, and shout out to his collaborator Mark Smith. I’ll take, hmmm, 2 or 3 pairs, wear them on the 2 or 3 train to a game, and hopefully drop 23 points in them. Thank you 23 times. Word.

I honestly haven’t copped a pair of J’s other than Spiz’ikes since the 14’s. Chalk it up to him retiring from the Bulls and wanting to keep that memory of him as the last one mostly. The other reason was that I honestly never felt any J’s after the 14’s and the emergence DUNKS as my staple in my wardrobe – but these have me both excited and nostalgic at the same time. These will look fly with some khaki cargo shorts in the summer time mos def. I’ve seen other pics online, but this pic is the creme de la creme!

Yo, on the really reals, I think these are as ugly as every Jordan after the VI’s man….
IF? it weren’t for retros, I’d have no interest in Jordans at all….Aside from the 1st generation or 2nd generation Melo’s, Jordan designs are bunk…Tinker needs to hang it up right along w/ the retirement of Mike, and this is coming from a very big Jordan fan….
Sorry Bob, you can have those! I bought the Spiz’ike’s for my daughter cause they’re “cute”…..Other than that, I’m like Mr. Fernandez, strictly dunks (and AF1s). Kinda like ya book, bro, I haven’t felt sneaker designs since the early 90s…Everything after is kinda bunk in my opinion….
    peace.

they remind me of the d-wade 2.0 a little. Just add the converse star to the side. I stil like prefer retros and Melos more.

Bob-Couldn’t agree more. I’d say the Argyle Lt. Blue/Grey/Whites are my favorite Jordan ever. Beautiful design, backstory (obviously), and use of materials. Though I appreciate the designs of the earlier Jordans, at 18, I wasn’t around for the V/IV/VI original release. Plus, I’m always looking to rock things people might not see that often, so I’m excited about these.

I’ll post pictures of the blue/grey tonite.

    to all-

you’re going off a photo online. i’ve held them in my hand. believe, i haven’t been a fan of every jordan ever released, but these joints are bananas. you’ll see for yourselves soon.

  7. CasUno says:

    To Bob…
Compare these to any Jordans I – VII, do they hold up?
Would you say this is Tinker’s better work?
Are you just glad these have some sort of appeal and Tinker’s name attached not to mention the privy to have been put on earlier than the rest of we?
I hope you’re right about seeing these in real time, I haven’t given up hope, but most more current J designs do not appeal to me anywhere near how they used to hit me back in the late 80s/early 90s….
Either or, it was just 2 cents, I don’t see myself copping new Jordans like that anyhow.
    peace.
Sorry to drop deuce on your admiration and fascination w/ these damn near ball room dancing “sneakers”.

    cas uno-

i haven’t worn them yet, only held them in my hand, so i can’t say how they hold up to earlier models. i’m cool with tinker personally, but i couldn’t care less if his name is attached to a shoe or not. if it’s hot, it’s hot. and the privy to be early means nothing to me either. i see joints all the time months before they come out, and more times than not am not excited. these struck me differently.

what i will say is that you are growing up. when i was your age, i made a break from what i was drawn to in my childhood to what was hitting me as an adult. trust your instincts, adn keep expressing your opinion, my man. it’s as valid as anyone else’s.

    bless

Just out of curiousity, how the hell you know how old I is?

I’m scared into believing that Mike’s inclusion to the actual game was the inspirado to the design and “hottness” of his kicks….Since, J’s been lookin type leisure, which I’m fine with, I’m just not too keen on the usages of patten leather and ups that take up the majority of the design…The toe and tongue are reminiscent of the elder years of a Jordan sneaker success, but cats seem a tad out of the loop as far as the rest of the design- in application to those who hunt for the heat, as opposed to those who are on some elder casual stylings….
Anyhow, keep on w/ the putting us on and sharing your opinion, I’m sure I can speak for most in saying WE appreciate it.
    peace & respect.

Yo Cas, I feel you on your concern. I like Js, but sometimes I do feel that latest designs contain more marketing gimmicks than straight-up substance. But on the other hand, a new model release still gives me goosebumps. So I guess I’m a sucka for all things Jumpman, and I suppose I’ll keep on until they don’t give me chills no more..

  11. CasUno says:

I think I’m just expressing disappointment in a sneaker I always I always entrusted more so than most…Yet, since a particular model have been let down almost always. I was gassed to still see Mike’s face showcasing his newest “gem”, and immediately let down once I took a look at the design. I still support the JumpMan and have been instilling said support in my daughter, trust, but please Nike Gawd lace us w/ something that reflects the days of old, when those goosebumps didn’t go away until the first scuff….Feel me?

Matter of fact, those J IV AF1s are a likkle bit of a let down as well….they shoulda killed the swoosh in the net material rather than leave the netting on the side same as the actual Jordan…just my opinion.

Big ups to yall and much respect.
    peace.
