This year, adidas is coming their “It Takes 5ive” approach. Instead of individual signatures, Dwight Howard, Tracy McGrady, Chauncey Billups, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett are all wearing the same model in colors matching their uniforms. Of course, this leaves Washington Wizard Gilbert Arenas who plays exclusively in low tops. According to Gilbertology.net, Gil didn’t want his line to end with one release, and felt that he deserved a new sneaker. The new TS Lightswitch Low Gil (also available in a mid) is already available in many chains, though Eastbay still has them for pre-order. My good friend Dennis played in them yesterday and said they were a killer on court. “D” hit me off with premium pictures exposing their unique flavor.

Gil needs an ankle tape endorsement to be able to ball in low tops all the time. I like the kicks though. Are the other ones for the different cities the same style just different colors?

    yo-

first off, how did you balance the sneaker upright on its toe without having it fall over?!!!

the Gil lightspeed are lovely, have them in the mail coming to me soon. Can’t wait to see if they hold up like the Gil Zero last year. Those rocked.

^Haha…I have no idea how Dennis pulled that off…

Yeah the first Gil’s were defnitely one of the best adidas releases in the past few years…hopefully these follow suit.

  4. TheJed says:
