Host/Producer Set Free.
Last Friday, November 3rd, I was invited to spin at Set Free’s Sneaker Auction @ Made To Order in Philadelphia, PA. Joint was mad fun! I got to play rare 7″s all night while Free bugged out on the MIC saying smack like, “Why you touching the sneaker when you know you don’t have no dough in your pocket!” Sneakerheads from as far as Delaware and Maryland showed up to partake in the action. This is a can’t miss event whether you’re a buyer, reseller, or fan.
If you don’t know, Set Free was the marketing mastermind at And1 who came up with the idea of distributing mixtapes. That caused a whirlwind, and this new project of his may just be the next movement. He’s a visionary, and one of the foremost sneaker connoisseurs on the East Coast. Check for his recent collab with the adidas Equipment Basketball shoe, and peep some of the photos from the splash:

The hostess walked the butters on a platter all night.

These adidas Top Tens in gold were the most flavorocity joints I saw all night!

This Kool and the Gang “Who’s Gonna Take The Weight” 7″ had everyone asking me, “Who is that?” cuz of the Public Enemy and Tribe Called Quest samples in the song. All good.

Me and Set Free, don’t be suprised if we pop up as a team to a city near you . . . “Going once, going twice . . .”
