Akeem Pierre is one of the rising (literally) talents in Canada. At just six feet, he can and will dunk on you; he does not care who you are.
“I go hard every game. If someone talks trash to me, I’m not going to back down,” says Pierre, a senior at RC Palmer Secondary School in Richmond, British Columbia.
This past summer, Pierre turned the Dolphin Park Classic, Canada’s version of the EBC, into his own personal coming out party. This little dude was pinning grown men’s shots against the backboard, dunking every which way and locking down everybody with 94′ pressure D.
“I feel like I can guard anyone. It doesn’t matter how tall,” Pierre says. “I know I’m going to lock him down, and if I don’t, then I feel disappointed in myself.”

www.bouncemag.com welcomes the 1st time conrtibution of Vancouver based writer Gerald Narciso aka G. His work has appeared in Dime Mag and NBA.com. Salt Lake City bred, G preferred watching players like Shamgod over Stockton. He claims at 5′9″ he has dunked the ball. Twice.

My first comment was:
“Get the [bleep] outta here..How did you guys hear about Akeem?” But then I read about Gerald.
Huge props on putting Akeem on this site….Now who you guys REALLY need to put on here is the future of basketball in BC, Emerson [I’m coming up with a nickname] Murray…This kid is 6′3″ in grade 10..plays for St. George’s Saints..Kid is unbelievable..LAST YEAR he was doing windmills like it was cake..AND HE CAN PLAY. Right now he does ‘em like a weak alley off the floor [as in not a high toss]..boom…Oh god..
Put that kid on here.
