    In Atlanta we really didn’t have a homecourt like Ny, and Jersey have, our homecourt was a neighborhood driveway…

    my home court was like in a ymca we always had to find a way to get in for free and ball all day lol!!!

    My home court was in a church cafeteria just down the road…for some reason they had hoops up in it, and we’d play at least twice a week. (That’s a church by KGTown/Minneapolis btw.) Thanks!

    Home court was between the two buildngs in my housing complex in Hell’s Kitchen (43rd street). I was that annoying kid shooting jumper’s at 8am on a Saturday (and everyday).

    Living in a house where my parents did not have much time to take us out to the park, my homecourt was my backyard. It was just me, a ball and a hoop. I fell in love with the game and honed my skills daily.

    My homecourt was the basket in front of my neighbors house. A lot of famous local ballers grew up playing there including Kenny Thomas of the Kings and New Mexican legend Alfred “Hurricane” Sanchez. Brian Urlacher even balled there once.

    growing up? my driveway… although it probably didn’t help my long distance shot that there was a good slant to the driveway. i’m gonna blame that for why i still can’t hit three’s with any reliability.

    The Park in Riverside, NJ. RIP, they ripped down half of the courts so the full court runs have been over for years. Early-mid 90’s some of the best times of my life and shout out to skeet who used to sneak beers behind the trees in between games.

    My home court growing up was a milk crate in front of an abanbed building around the corner from where I lived. I couldn’t go to the projects and play because if you win they shoot out the park.

    Growing up as an Army-Brat, homecourt was usually the post Rec. Center. Depending on the on-post housing, we were sometimes lucky to have a half court in the neighborhood.

    I grew up in Toms River, NJ. The place to run up there is Skyview park. We birthed an NBA player named Alex Blackwell!!! Check the books kids!!! Dude killed it at Toms River North and Monmouth University before going to the Lake Show. Other dudes who ran/run at this park are Corey Albano, Brian Lynch, both stars overseas and occasionally players dip through from the JSBL summer league in Belmar. A great place for pick-up ball at the Jersey Shore.

    My homecourt when I was growing up was right around the corner from my house in the park in Charleston, South Carolina. We would go out there as kids and try to play with the grown folks to work on our game. S.C. got some ballers dont sleep.

    My grandpop put up my first hoop in our driveway. It was on a completly uneven, bumpy and slopped surface. The hoop was either 10 or 10 1/2 feet depending where you stood in the driveway. Crossovers became a perfected art on that court, but my grandfolks have a passion for ball as much as I do.

    I first settled in Scarborough area (Toronto), when I was grade one (the year i immigrated to Canada, and the year I started ballin’). Outside my apartment, there were new basketball systems installed in a local park, and I would hoop-it up each day.

    So yea…the scarborough area of toronto was where my hoop life started.

    My homecourt was the backyard. (Thank you, Dad!) Ah life was grand. Had room to run around and practice some fancy crossovers, Kareem skyhooks and Olajuwon dreamshakes on my own time and turf. Those were the days.

    We played 6 days a week at Ada McCormick park in Tucson, AZ. We would plan all year round, even during the hottest days of the summer.

    man, we had this run down court at school in the 210. It was jacked up real bad but we use to break ankles out there on that blacktop. We would ball with the older kids after school after everybody left, we just acted foolish.

    Growning up in Virginia, my homecourt was Stonegate aka ‘The Mill’ in the summer time and South Lakes HS in the winter…. the best comp around would battle out there

    Oakdale park on the south side of chicago off of 95th and vincennes. As a shorty, we would ball early until the older guys kicked us off and ball late after they left. From time to time they would grab one of us to fill a spot and it was always funny cause we would hit the game winning shot. We wouldn’t get a pass until then. LOL. Ya’ll bringing back some good memories. Didn’t everybody have that old school legend who was drunk or homeless but would kill everybody when they played.
