On October 12th, 4,000 sneaker/hip hop heads converged on Roseland in Manhattan for the Sneaker Pimps Tour. The show started so late I only got to peep EPMD, but wow did they destroy it (peep the amped crowd above)! I wish they had performed “I’m Mad” and “Get The Bozack,” but I really couldn’t complain one bit. I danced for Def Jam Records group Third Bass on tour back in ‘89, and E Double and Parrish Smith were on the bills too. They have not lost a step on stage one bit. Had DJ Scratch performed with them it would’ve been a shut-down. Jeru the Damaga killed it, too.
What really had me open was the amount of supreme love and respect afforded to me all night. Big shout-out to everyone who requested a photo, signature, pound, hug, whatever! And my AF1 “Kool Bob Loves” where in full effect! Word up! Peep it:
