Criteria:

1. No players on current NBA rosters are included.
2. Players who participated in multiple tournaments for the whole season were given greatest consideration.
3. No prior MVPs, highlights, championships, etc. were considered. This list is strictly based on performance in Summer ‘07.
4. Players were picked regardless of position.

The top selections, in order of greatest number of votes received:

First Team:

Kenny “Serious Satellite” Satterfield
EBC Chip and MVP; H.I.T.S. regular season MVP/Scoring Champ.

Darren “DP” Phillips
Nike One wins Pro City with him (DP is MVP), loses Nike TOC without him—get the picture?

John “Mookie” Thomas
The city’s best full-court defender improved his perimeter shooting to make him invaluable.

Steve “The Saga Continues” Burtt Jr.
Sixty-eight points at EBC. Need we say more?

Mike “King of NY” Campbell
Buckets, Passes, D, then … oh yeah, more buckets.

I’m really feeling the All Street First team you all did a really great job with the selections, can’t wait to get the upcoming issue. Thanks for getting back to me with the Rucker Pro Am but I would like to see more presence because the competition level is just as high as any other Summer Pro League because the players that plays in the same tournament yall feature.

  4. Killa Cal says:

this is wrong burtt should have one player of the year he didint take many chips but he broke the EBC scoring title and made his first ever west 4 debut and droped 8 threes in a half on an up and coming unruly heir team. Burtt Shulda won player of the year

  5. Bobbito Garcia a.k.a. Kool Bob Love says:

    Killa Cal-

Burtt definitely had a monster summer, and our panel of voters will be looking at his development closely next summer. Hard to deny Satterfield, though. unlike the nba, we include playoff performance in our consideration. thanks for your comment my brother.

    peace
