HS All American and U. of Florida bound Erving Walker will be one of many featured players in Rickey Rivers’ ‘Brooklyn Classic’ this weekend.

This weekend expect to see some of the best HS talent around. Look for the matchup of Kemba Walker against Lance Stevenson; Chaz Williams vs. Erving Walker; Keith Spellman vs. Darren Johnson; Kevin Menner and Sammy Obetah against Darryl “Truck” Bryant and Pat Jackson. Tyreke Evans and Sylvan Landesberg are also scheduled to play.

Location: Thomas Jefferson HS, Brooklyn.

The Funsport Jr. Pros JHS program is starting soon at the Brownsville Recreation Center in Brooklyn, NY. The top middle school talent from around the metro are expected to participate in likely the most competitive and promising season thus far. Top teams include: Broncos, New Heights, LI Lightning, MetroHawks, Gauchos, Panthers, 1.S. 323, Team Odom, Abyssinian, Starrett City, NJ Pirates, Xmen, United Brooklyn, and a few surprises.

In addition to league play, there will be a scheduled Exposure Camp geared towards training and development as well as a showcase for private and public HS coaches. Scouting services will be contacted shortly once the event location and dates are confirmed.
