Just got word that they beat out United Brooklyn in the chip tonight for their third consecutive title, and that Darren “DP” Phillips a.k.a. “Primal Fear” grabbed the MVP. This is all unconfirmed, will get more details tomorrow . . .

THIS GUY IS NOT AS GOOD AS HE THINKS HE IS. TO TELL THE TRUTH AS OLD AS I AM I!LL LACE UP A PAIR OF SNEAKERS AND EMBARRASS HIS YOUNG ASS IF HE IF HE GOT THE NERVE TO COME BACK TO TOWN.     I don’t know… I was there and DP was not the “Best Player” on the floor last Thursday. Granted he had about 20 rebounds but Tyrone Grant was a Grown Ass Man amongst preschool girls! He set up the a white picket fence on the low block and the basket was his patio! When he entered the game the entire momentum shifted and everyone who guarded him got a bucket with an array of dropsteps, spin moves & pump fakes. A few times he didn’t even use any moves, he just took his time and maneuvered in front of the room to get a better shot than the one he created. He was truly the Best Player in the gym by far and should have walked away with the additional hardware. (pause) No question…

    All in all it was a good game and Corey “Homicide” Williams definitely came to play cutting an 8pt lead to 2 in the waining minutes of the 3rd qtr before being subbed at the 2:20 mark to see the lead increase to 10. As for the K1X, ny baller, probably the most subtle pair he has rocked to date, but let’s face it, no matter how they look, they’re still no Chiefgliders!!!

    Feets Malone - Good points made above, and yea, the negotiator was fun to watch but DP killed…not to mention the 20 boards, but he was well in the teens in points, and had what 5-7 blocks?? The game’s momentum completely changed for good when DP threw Homicide’s shot off the top wall on the baseline, then yelled and let him hear about it. Classic passionate DP…in my opinion, he was the heart of NIKE ONE that night and the catalyst on bringin in that championship. He controlled the defense, altering shots and grabbing seemingly EVERY rebound. Big ups to Ty and Mookie (who killed 2nd half), but well deserved MVP to DP…
