Here’s the deal. Leave a comment, not more than 5 to 7 sentences long, explaining why you think i should bring you. I’ll announce the winner tonight, thursday june 14th at 11pm, so make sure you check my blog later on.

I’m not providing transportation, so if you live outside New York or the US, it’s on you to get there.

good luck!

  1. chris vidal says:

hmmm….? well to be honest, someone who’s never had the chance or opportunity to enjoy and become a part of the nike id studio experience should be chosen. i mean , i love going in, designing my own one of one af1’s,being treated like royalty and above all…..being able to say t hat i did these shoes myself! love them or hate them there a pair i created…..if the person you choose cannot express that there desire is to be part of the experience, part of the movement that is the af1….then i’m here…..palante primo.

  2. mike drake says:

After years of suffering with blue feet from the dye/paint of my custom attempts of my youth, I deserve a free official design. My art skills, creativity and the shoe size will give me enough canvas to design a truly unique shoe. The kids I teach in Spanish Harlem will be impressed with their Science teacher and will go on to be great leaders of the future, save Harlem and the Earth from destruction. All of this just because of my shoe design.

  3. Salehe Bembury (Sal) says:

Hey Bobbito, this is Sal that kid that spoke with you about the internship with nike. You know how passionate I am about sneaker design. We’ve been talking for about 2 years now. PLEEEAAASSSE hook it up. I live in new york city, and I’m a broke college student so this would be the PERFECT change of pace. I have had a 21 year long love affair with nike, and it’d be my dream to design my own pair.

  4. Gabriel says:

I believe i should be the one picked simply because i am not only a sneaker person but also a ball player. I’m 17 years old and i take Ball seriously, (trying to go D1). I love kix, sometimes i go on nikeid.com just to mess around and see if i can make some air maxes, 2k4s, 2k5s, or AF1s that look hot (most of the time my designs look good). But i’m short on money right now, probably for awhile… Thanks in advance

  5. steve brock says:

Why should I be picked, hmmm, I have been in the sneaker game for over thirty five years now and been an extensive buyer for a bunch of influential stores throughout the 5 boros (albee square mall!) I was featured in “Whered you get those” I was a batboy for the ny yankees and am a graphic designer. That being said, none of those reasons matter as much to me as being a SURVIVOR. I was diagnosed with a blood Cancer Twice! and beat it both times, the second time through a stem cell transplant! Nike, Lance Armstrong, Bobbito, basketball, and kicks in general, were all present in spirit through my fight, I never really appreciated my footwear till I rocked a brand new pair of Air Force Ones through the transplant ward after being in bedridden solitary for thirty days…still to this day my most valuble kicks. Let’s commemorate livin!

  6. Larry Millah says:

Well damn. I’m not a copmplete sneaker fanatic like some others I know. But I’m a design freak! I would love to just see the process and participate in designing a pair of custom joints. Due to my hectic schedule, I don’t really get a chance to see whats poppin in the hood as far as new sneaks are concerned. It would be amazing to go straight to the source with a serious afficiando. I could also get my own personal “vibe’ one on one with Kool Bob as he selects some amazing music to document our our excursion. It wouyld also amount to that amazing New York moment a Chicago boy like me is waiting to have…

  7. Vulkan The Krusader says:

I dont derserve this yet Bob , lol…If I picked anyone it would be Vidal. AG on Scheme love it read it was a good interview good questions. I will hit you up when Im in NY brother.

    V.K.

  8. Eric Soler (cooler than a polar bear!) says:

I should be the one to come with you since way back in the day when you were on WKCR and told the listeners that you needed a cab and I picked your ass up and your end of the deal was a shape up at the barber shop you were working at the time, which never happened. Also, cause I was the first one to tell you weren’t losing your hair, you were getting more head, remember? Also, cause back in the day some shorties used to come up to me in the club and ask me if you and were cousins. Well, I guess we are fam, huh? Not to mention you have a song you sing about me “Eric Soler cooler than a polar bear!!!”

  9. Carlos Toro says:

I’m just gonna keep it real. no stories, no pity. I’m a sneakerholic, I don’t collect I buy what I like and I where what I buy. Everything stay’s in rotation from my 93 Accels to my Kool Bob Love airs. I feel that my kicks reflect who I am and would like the chance to design a pair of kicks to showcase my person in true nike fashion straight from the source. No paint to crack just colors straight from the factory. Besides the Free.99 price tag is just right for me.

  10. Danielito@DIRTYMILK says:

I read these stories Cool Bob and I got to say I don’t deserve this opportunity compared to these kids I happen to get blessed with NIKE’s from being in the biz. But I just wanted to say this is honorable thing to do for a kid Ive seen the ID house and it will change the perspective on any sneaker-heads love of Kicks.

  11. nick says:

Because I need some hands on experience with this design thing. And, because the chance to kick color ideas around with Kool Bob Love should be any sneaker heads dream.

  12. Noel says:

    free kicks?! hell yeah!!

    why pick me?!

    1. I want to make my moms proud
    2. I look good in socks, better in uptowns
    3. I’m a filthy immigrant
    4. Sneakers love me
    5. Stop playing! I know where you live, Bob

May the FORCE be with me…

  13. King says:

Kool Bob love what the deal? This is the King from HARLEM, NYC. I would love to design a pair of forces at the id store for a many reasons: The air force 1 is my favorite shoe and the chance to have a 1 of 1 pair is too good to be true. Other than that the chance to chill with one of the pionners of urban culture and a fellow son of harlem. peace.

  14. Liv says:

I’m on here, right? Reason - cause I actually read “Here’s the deal. Leave a comment, not more than 5 to 7 sentences long, explaining why you think i should bring you. I’ll announce the winner tonight, thursday june 14th at 11pm, so make sure you check my blog later on. ” Now - something clever - for the 2-4 remaining sentences I may have hmmm. I love design almost as much as I love kicks. Even if I don’t get picked - I’ll still LOVE KOOL BOB LOVE. liv

  15. yo! hozay says:

First of all, they are FREE! This will give me a chance to put out a dope colorway nobody has seen yet. So dope and sick.. Bob u wont give them to me you probably end up keeping them. lol. Loe the Air Force one. Support the movement Bob.

  16. Jason F says:

I came across this and i read here you have the oppotunity to win a free airforce ID.. you know.. i always had a thing for nike.. i am more of a dunk collector but occationally i find the right airones and i would get it a wear it as much as i feel please. Unknowingly i found out that there are ID for airforces.. i received an email for a password for one.
This contest .. im not sure if u have to be resident of the area around where the studio is.. but i am located quite far from the studio.. south coast of the lonestar state.. where none of these exist.. people here .. only a hand full knows of such sneakers. With so many fakes around and so many unknowledgable heads.. i feel that i am guided here for an oppotunity to breaknecks in my lonestar state. =)

  17. Conor says:

Because I didn’t waste your time. Pick Me.

  18. John L says:

if you fell for the trick website, i definitely deserve this. there…that was my reply at trying to win.

  19. Steve Chucks says:

I need these shoes because otherwise I am barefoot. I had a gigantic shoe collection that I had built over the past few years, until an ex-girlfriend of mine lost it when we broke up. She poured all kinds of household liquids (and other) on my collection, including honey and toothpaste. Please help me get out of these crappy $10 Velcro shoes from K-Mart. PLEASE.

  20. Hector LaBoy says:

On the real I would love to create a straight up dope looking PR edition airforce one. I was born in P.R. I can’t
ever seem to get a hold of them when they hit the shops. I feel like that would be super fresh. Plus for free you can beat that.I am also a father of two so I can’t get as fresh as I used to you know…
I feel like Nike from a personal stand point can do a better job when it comes to the PR editions. I love kicks period and I just happen to rock more AF Ones than any other shoe. So Cool Bob Love help me pimp my ones..

  21. ben arial says:

I think i should be picked for this amazing offer. Simply because i have what it takes to design a hot shoe. Ive designd for reebok and gave them a whole new style. Im not a wealthy kid i just have wealthy dreams of becoming rememberd in my works. So please respond back, maybe not for this but i would love to be working with bobbito and nike in the future…thanks

  22. Amritpal Singh says:

Hey bobbito, i am here for somebody else who is one of the greatest artist ever and customizes the Air Force 1’s like no limits. i am sure his design would be one of the most wanted Air Force 1’s ever and one that people would stand in long lines just to grab them for their collection and i am sure if given a chance he would create the ultimate Air Force 1’s. if you want to know who am i. i have been in sneaker business for 25 years now and have couple of sneaker stores.

  23. VeRs says:

    pick me… cuz

    I.

    AM.

    SO.

    COOL (cool…cool…echo)

check out my sneakerblog at www.myspace.com/gbosproductions

beats (real hip-hop) and sneaks. Why not?

  24. Moni says:

HEEElll no you won’t pick me, you know my color theory problems so we might be in that ID joint for days. Let me chime in and say that this is a freakin’ amazing thing you are doing and that either the broke college kid (sal) or noel sound as if they would really appreciate the experience. OK back to my pantone chips.

  25. carl hines says:

My name is Carl Hines and,I am a true Nike Sneaker Lover thats all i wear.I am a Store manager in Harlem who collects a variety of sneakers. My obsession for the Nike Air force One has evolved over the years.I recently met Kool Bob Garcia at my store Vault WO located in Harlem,NYC. He is a genuine person and hope to win this contest.I was invited to the Nike ID studio recently and id some Nike Dunk High Premium which was great.

  26. Manny Maldonado says:

Steve brock, Your testimony really hit me in the heart homey. I learned through a very close friend/brother that life is about giving. The AF1 lifted your spirit; it gave you confidence and reminded you of the adversity you faced and overcame. Steve, what ever happens at the end of the day you have the best AF1’s ever created. the joints that where symbolic of being Cancer Free.

  27. Chad Bannanas says:

    oh man
get me a pair of sneaks
i lost mine in the sand
    lost among the leeches
little minnesota cat needs some new rocks
    to put into his socks

  28. Ronald Applin says:

Fashion is a sincere passion of mine and the Nike Air Force 1 is something that is a major passion to me beyond expression. Bobbito himself is someone that I have really followed and admired for about 6 or 7 years. I really dig his positive attitude and I loved him on NBA Streets….”Fool me once, Fool me twice, Fool me thrice?….” LOL….I loved that. Being the winner would, to ME, be an accomplishment in itself rather than just a prize that was won.

  29. Mike B says:

I don’t deserve this because i don’t do nothing special in the Nike culture or the hip hop cultral, all i do is work and help those i can help. I just got in the game and would love to open up a sneaker shop i got a hot idea that no one has done yet for a Nike sneaker & would love the chance to express it on a pair of kicks. Peace.

  30. dj 2-fresh says:

    well….let see…why should i deserve a pair……..well why shouldnt I?

  31. dreamer says:

Not a huge sneaker-head like everyone out there but love a pair of fresh-new Nike’s that make someone’s head turn when you sport them. Been running into some bad luck lately and have really brought me almost to tears. To make a long story short, if I were picked to get a free pair of Nike ID’s, that could bring a brotha’s spirit back up. But with my luck, it is not happening. But not going to hurt if I tried…

  32. freshcurry says:

This is a great opportunity for me to enter the nike id studio, as I’m from Canada and the once a month draw on their website is only applicable to US residents. Next I love colours and fabrics, just checking out the samples would be good times. It would also be pretty wicked just hanging out and learning more about sneakers from you, cause you got maaad knowledge on the subject. The experience of flying out to NY and the id studio would definitely a memory we would both remember. LOL, plus after getting those shoes I would never wear dress shoes to work again…..

BTW - think this a great way to have a contest instead of picking some random name out of a hat. thanks again for the opportunity! Cheers

  33. George says:

    ok ok where too start?

and tell people to step they game up!
(just had to add that one)

and and it would be what’s really up to be chosen, and i give a big up too ya’ll for even letting me try you know!

  34. Mitchell says:

    I tell you why:

Because I can feel the LOVE all over Amsterdam, and Amsterdam can feel the LOVE of my AF1… But they still didn’t introduced eachother yet, because my AF1’s can’t talk so please let me give them an ID so they can talk!

    ONE LOVE

  35. Justin Cervantes says:

honestly im not the only one deserving of this chance, because its mad sneaker heads out there who would literally do anything for this opportunity, me being one of them. I feel that I represent the real sneaker heads who wake up early every weekend and hunt for EXCLUSIVE kickz opposed to all these culture vultures and swagger jackers who can now go to there local footlocker and pick up a pair of AF1 premiums. I respect the sneaker culture and feel that I am a true reflection of the Jeff Staple’s, the Tinker Hatfield’s, the Kenzo Minami’s and the Bobbito Garcia’s. I hope I can have the privilege to display the impact that you all had on my life unto the canvas of an AF1.

  36. Bogdan C.G. says:

My b-day is on june 21st, so a pair of Nike ID’s would be an awsome present.

    R35P3C7

  37. Troy says:

The AF1 is a cultural icon. People from all walks of life can relate in their individual ways to this sneaker whether its because the colors remind them of their favorite collegiate basketball dynasty, or because their older brother used to school kids on the court while rocking the classic sneaker profile known as the Air Force 1. Ones, Forces, Uptowns, the list of nicknames for this sneaker is continuously growing and sneakerheads use these endearing terms to signify where they represent. The Air Force 1 has touched on all facets of our American culture, from being on the feet legendary NYC street ballers to music icons such as Fat Joe licking the soles of his Linens. Biggups to Nike and Air Force 1 for doing it for 25 years. I love the Air Force 1, have since I was a kid and this is why I think I should go with Bobbito to the Nike Studios.

  38. matt says:

I’ve bought two of your three Air Force Ones so far and I’ve just arrived in New York from London, winning this would be cool and would be the highlight of my trip!

  39. Adam says:

I need this. I am such a sneaker fanatic that I’ve flown to Los Angeles (I’m from Boston) just to check out Flight Club to find LE Nikes. And on top of that, I had my Lo Top Tiffanys and Safaris stolen last year, and they were my babies! To roll up to Nike ID Studio would be like making my first born the next LeBron James. I’ll meet you wherever, just get me to that studio!

  40. Gus R. says:

I Live in Iowa. Let’s face it, Not a lot of people in Iowa know about the sneaker culture. I’ve always been into it. It would be my dream come true if i got a chance to go to nike id. I try my best to collect the tight forces! I have a little collection that i never wear haha. So please make my dream come true!

  41. J. Harris says:

i could plot beg or steal this opportunity

    {exerts a serious ice grill}

however, If Pharrell can make ICECREAMS, STARBURRY can produce 15 dolla kicks

I think this is my true calling…

Do something I know absolutely nothing about…

Then CREATE a pair of OL’ SOLES…that appeals to hiphop to rock and roll. and I will do all this not for next to nothing, I will take it a step beyond and allow NIKE to use me for free. After all I know as much about sneakers than a Podiatrist knows about feet. SELL ME BOBBY BOY?!

Hurry up and get me the credentials cuz I dont want to wait until 11 o’clock tonight.

or else sorry you will not be.

    Sincerely,
    Chuck Taylor.

  42. mario says:

    Yo peace DJ Cucumber Slice,

What’s good? You should take me because number 1 I’m a proud KNICKS fan and I need some new kicks and I’ve always wanted to meet and talk to you. I was raised on you and Stretch, you know before hip hop died. I’m an artist and I always wanted to go on your show I use to tell Jeru the Damaja to get me up there. I’m trying to start this album life got in the way family and kids. So I’m trying to make it happen!!! Yo you still got the sneaker spot? I remember you had I think it was called the basement. Alright yo keep doing your thing, congrats on your success and branching out and getting a gig with the Knicks let me know if they need a die hard fan looking for an opportunity?

    PEACE,

    Mario

  43. Naiym Henderson says:

i deserve a free pair of kicks because im tired of paying outrageous prices for sneakers and i cant stand on lines and wait outside sneaker shops because i have a job so i can pay rent so i dont get kick out of my crib lol my parents dont support me. its hard for a sneaker pimp and plus this black man never won a damn thing so if i won this it would be a start lol

  44. Chris says:

Well, I would say I deserve this because lets face it, you can bet that a majority of the people on the list would make some crazy colorway that would be terrible. I appreciate solid design and good use of color. I won’t bring shame to the contest.

  45. Alex Turner says:

I have been a fan and avid collector of Nike for as long as I could remember. Im in college right now, working part-time mostly on weekends. I live in miami and honestly theres only a handful of places to buy really dope sneakers. Those few places sell out of EVERYTHING so incredibly fast, plus when they do have something stores tend to charge above retail for brand new releases. As a college student, working part-time, living in one of the most expensive, over-populated cities in the US, the AF-1 25th Anniversary has been a tough one for me. I’ve had to wave goodbye to some of the most creative, advanced Forces of all time because there are just so many to choose from and such limited funds to choose with. An opportunity like this with a legend like Bobbito would mean so much, words can’t even express.

  46. Miguel Polanco says:

I deserve an free pair of air force one b/c I love kicks, I eat & breath kicks
I cant effort the real exclusive kicks so this would been an once and an life time chance to have something that represent me
Is like this sneaker is not something I wear is part of my culture growing up in the Bronx

  47. Carlito Roc says:

What’s up Bobbitto? To keep it short and sweet, I’d like to take the trip with you to Nike Id because I have 2 dj gigs comming up in July and it would be fly to wear my own custom Nikes while I spin. I’m not getting paid for either party so it would be nice to at least look like a million bucks and have everyone ask “Where’d U Get Those?”.

Good luck to the person you choose.

    Peace Brother,

    Carlito Roc
    Those Crispy Kicks.

  48. Thomas Coleman A.K.A Tredman415 says:

Yo B! You got to pick me, I’m a true to the Heart, without a doubt Air Force 1 Fiend, with over 100 air force 1. Check this, if you pick me we will have some much to talk about: Shoe game, NBA Finals, Hip-Hop, and Video games. I meet you in San Francisco, you and your boys, came down to the huf quake release on sutter and jones. On the real, you are a really cool dude; I felt respect from you, when I got to talked to you about the show, It’s the shoes. This is the sad part, I’m all the way in San Francisco, and I have to work on the 22nd at the San Francisco Giants Stadium and we play against New York. But it would be cool, if you sent me an ID card or a sign pair of your kicks. I really would apperciate that, real talk from the heart B. One

  49. charity says:

Hmmm. Honestly, I don’t wear ones usually, i’m more of a dunk and blazer chick (when it comes to retro nike hoop kicks) but if I could make my own pair of AF1…Id proudly wear em. Also, i’m a philanthropic sneakerhead; I donate at least 3 pair a year (which kills the numbers as far as my collection goes) but, gettin a pair like this would make it easy to double the number this year (you can hold me to that). Actually though, the biggest benefit would be hangin with cool bob, do a lil brain pickin with somebody I really respect in the hip-hop AND hoopin game…the sneakers would really just be like the illest added bonus ever.

    ~cdot

  50. Greg says:

Some people on here say they’ve been in the sneaker business for years, others have been fashion designing, and that’s great and all. But I’ve been buying basketball apparel and footwear since I was a kid, always purchasing the athletic look but I always wanted to make my own stuff because I thought my ideas would sell. Sneakers are a great way to start, and I don’t like the idea of just customizing colors and letters. Designing the actual shoe is a hell of an experience. Not only that, but I’ve been following streetball and reporting for years on players like Bobbito, the AND1 crew, Notic, Dime, EBC, and other underground players. It would be nice to get out, take initiative, and do something to get involved with the basketball community rather than sitting back and interviewing people. I love this game, I love the people that play it, I’m never going to stop playing it. God bless whoever you choose, Bobbito! Stay true!

  51. Devin says:

I’m an artist and I take pride in expressing how I feel. One way is through graffiti. Another way is through music. Finally, the way I dress exemplifies who I am to those that do not know me. It would be an honor if I could utilize my talents to design a unique pair of the single best selling shoe of all time.

  52. DEEJAY DIRTY DEK says:

I should win because im not some corny hypbeast that is only obsessed with sneakers! I’m a i’ll deejay/graffitti artist, music and art is my life and my profession, lookin fresh is sendary it just goes along with whats really important, MUSIC!! If i made a pair of those jammies they would be ill because i got madd ideas and ive always wanted to make some dope costoms the legit way! Trust mee! i Should win!
for more info on the DIRTY DEK AKA SELECTAH DEKSTA, Peep http://www.myspace.com/durteedekarator

  53. Chester says:

Simply put im seriously the person to choose for this exciting endeavor into the world or fashion and entertainment. im a simple kid that loves nikes from the very first jordans i got to the vintage and throwback air max shoes that i can find. see im gonna be a 5th year college student getting a degree in graphic design and public relations, i feel this can get me a foot into the industry i have always wanted to be involved in. perhaps you, bobbito, can be the person to introduce me to the world i love, and if not i’ll see you when i get up there.

  54. jia says:

why? im not gonna suck anyones ass
give it to me cuz im the shitttttt

  55. Mike Swing says:

Bobbito!!! I don’t live in New York and I don’t even think I can get there to do the ID shoes so make sure you invite someone out there that has the same passion for AF1’s, sneaker culture, and Hip Hop culture just as you. I honestly don’t think any of us here can live up to you as what you’ve done so make a good decision and big ups to what you’ve done for the culture.

  56. caff says:

I should win because my first name is Nike. Real talk, ask my mom, she gave it to me.

  57. Chris Noble says:

Well honestly, I think I deserve it because I am going back to high school in September and I have been putting ALL my money away for after I graduate and I haven’t been able to get a pair of kicks in like 9 months and my father is retiring in a few months so his money is running short also. I just think that it would be cool to have something that represents me, something that nobody else has but me. Just as a sign of individuality to set me apart from others, even if it is just a pair of kicks to some people it would be something special to me considering I have a passion for sneakers and its the ultimate way of defining yourself in the sneaker/street wear culture. Anyway, You should def. pick me because I deserve it. I changed my life for the better and I think I deserve some recognition for it, like a little pat on the back.

Even if i don’t win, Thanks for the opportunity and I am sure whoever does win deserves it as much as anyone else.

    -Chris.

  58. Ryan C says:

Bobbito…well all I want to say is I’ve been a Nike brand loyalist since the day my brother came home with the all blue suede 1993 Nike Air Bound 3 Flights (remember those..classic!), since then nothing but Nikes on my feet. Why should I be picked, no reason in particular just a kid from Atlanta that always dreamed to get a chance to design a Nike shoe. Till this day in my cubicle at work, I sketch shoe ideas that I think would be fly. To design a pair of Air Forces would be crazy, since I already cop about 5 fresh white pairs every summer. Always loved the concepts and designs you come up with, and to just kick it with you up in NikeId land would be love.

  59. miguel cristian says:

i was chosen to go to nike id studios(ive been trying for almost 2yrs now to win a raffle at nike id ) to go and do my thang but on that actual day to go i couldnt make it my son was really sick and i had to stay for a couple of days in the hospital so i missed the oppurtunity to get my own custom id’s

  60. Eugene says:

Design is my true passion and although I have been into sneakers for almost 6 years, I have not yet had the pleasure of owning perhaps the finest example of timeless sneaker design. As a creative individual, The Air Force one has been an inspirational canvas to me, and I have more than once risen from bed at off hours to draw out a concept that I later digitally recreated. If I win, I will have the chance to see one of my creations, one of the many figments of my imagination brought into the world in the form of a sneaker, and as any designer can tell you, there is truly something special about that.

I feel you should bring me because not only do I appreciate AF1s as much as you do, but sneakers in general. Sneakers are the altimate works of art in my opionion. I have a deep passion for the designs and colors put together on kicks. To spend time with someone as legendary and cool as you would definitely be a highlight to remember. I’m a SnEaKeRFrEaKeR that would be even more insired by this rare opportunity to design my own AF1 or AF25.

  62. Jeremy Ripley says:

After receiving a liver transplant in February 2006, I learned that the act of giving is implausibly important. Although times were sometimes tough during the ordeal, I currently enjoy a state of happiness and euphoria that I didn’t know existed. I currently own about 25 pairs of sneakers and am a product tester for And1. Why do I deserve another pair of shoes? Well to be rather concise, I don’t. If I win this contest, I plan to donate the shoes, or have the shoes autographed by a celebrity, and then auctioned. With the auction money I would purchase as many shoes as possible in a menagerie of sizes. I would then donate each shoe purchased to a non-profit organization called Hoops4Hope (Bob thanks for putting me on this!). In countries torn by religious and political discords, kids play basketball as an escape from societal strictures. These kids love playing ball so much, that some even play barefoot. Through my previous transplant experience, I learned that the act of giving is much more important and rewarding than receiving…and I believe this event is an excellent avenue to pursue that endeavor.

  63. Nick says:

    Bobbito,

You should take me with you because I’m a White Boy with sick flows, that loves fresh kicks. Listen to the track “Fresh As Fuck” at www.myspace.com/grasssmallz. The track speaks for our love of Nike’s and exclusive gear. We call ourselves BACKROAD…I rap on the last verse and on the hook. Peep the track, listen especially close to the lyrics. Any sneaker head that likes rap should feel this.

    Regards,

man I love af1, found probably every pic on the net of every model that ever came out, watched every clip about it and shit but… in my country we don’t get a chance to purchase them :( and a lot of sites don’t even deliver here so I can’t order them over the internet. so hell yeah I want a free pair :)

I’ve been with the sneaker society for a min now. I’ve been down quietly, watching and observing since the days of NikePark, from Sole Collector to Where’d You Get Those. I’m the average guy, love kicks and buy what I like when I get the chance to get my hands on them, and believe I wear and ball in every one of them that I got. Just the opportunity to put my stamp on my own, I’ll be thankful.

  68. Kym says:

just like everybody here im a fellow sneaker since I was 8 years old.I just have the love for sneaks right when you open the box and that new smell hit you, just lacing up is something I was able maintain 15 years later taht will never ever change.Just to able walk in a room and have the first thing people do is stare down on what you have is such a stellar thing.Just to be able to design a fresh pair of AF and be able to standout from the rest would be dope, just like you bobbito I wanna be able look fresh with my bboy stance looking fresh just like you back in the days with your Pro-Keds.something will never change

  69. Jesse Pulitano says:

Hey Bobbito. Look, i’m not going to try and say that I have loved sneakers for 45 years or anything..I got into it a couple years ago, and I would really love to have my own air force one. If I am chosen, I will be jumping and screaming like I just won the lottery, because to me, it’s the same thing. Do your thing, and if you happen to pick me, holy shit.

    Thank you for reading.

  70. Jennier Hernandez says:

Hey Bobitto. Well… given the name of my e-mail address SNEAKFREAK65@hotmail.com. It safe to say that i should be picked to design my own Af1 / Af25 because i have been a NIKE fan since i saw a pair on Farah Facett from Charlie’s Angels,(totally love that show). She was riding a skate board and she was wearing white Nike with a red swoosh… iI’ve loved NIKES ever since. last but not leaset I would love to spend the day with Bobitto.

  71. Matt Thomas says:

For my whole life I was the kid who went to hoop just to see everyone else’s kicks.I never really had the means or cash to cop what I really wanted. I did everything, worked at the barbershop, mowed lawns, whatever it took to get my pair. I’ve always and will always love Airs.I’m one of the few younger peeps you see today who truly have a love for the kicks and an understanding of the culture. I hope to carry on the legacy or Air and continue to pass down the love to generations after me.I can guarantee one thing, that if i am picked i will represent the sneaker community and N.Y. to the fullest, 100%

a couple of months back i had a spinal cord injury that left me temporarily paralyzed from the waste down. after 2 months of rehab in patient and out patient im walking but with a brace and a cane, the brace is pretty blucky. which means i need a wider shoe. the only shoes that it fits into are af1’s. getting a custom pair would definitely lift my spirits.

  73. Jonathan Parker says:

Ok, the name I posted is my brother. He actually doesnt know Im doing this, but I know he loves sneakers and this would be really cool to him. He just graduated from University of Michigan and Morehouse College on a dual degree program and Id be really happy if you took him. I personally dont really know about shoes, but I know he is crazy about em and has a closet full of dunks, jordans and AF1s.

AF1 is about style. I know the shoe I design will rival many of the AF1 X…..that have been released. I’d love to be chosen but if i’m not its kool because Bob you still rock it @ wonderful every year!!!

    P.S.
I have no sob story I just would love to design some AF1 lows. To all the people who have suffered and not suffered Good night and god bless.

  77. koroush mehryar says:

Sneakers are my life. I wake up in the morning and look at my closet and i feel im truly blessed. Not only for the shoes that i own but the culture i am involved in. Owning a pair of air forces is owning a piece of history and a piece of contemporary art at the same time. Wearing a pair makes me proud, not only because they are the greatest shoe of all time but i represent a lifestyle and culture that many of us hold dear to our hearts, so having my own would be a little too surreal. We all love nikes, but having the opportunity to design your own air force is truly remarkable. Please give me this chance

I LIKE AIR FORCES ONE VERY MUCH. YES ITS NICE. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE ROMANCE WITH IT AND MAKE SEXUAL EXPLOSION INSIDE. I WAS JUST KIDDING. I WILL BE EXECUTE IF I NOT GETS PAIR. IN MY COUNTRY, AIR FORCES ONES CAN BUYS THREE HORSES, FIVE WOMEN AND TWO UNDERWEAR. I VERY HUNGRY. I WILL BUYS HORSES TO MAKES HORSE MEAT POPSICLE. CHENQUIEH. High five!

  80. Cameron Kerst says:

I own one pair of dirty, scuffed, court worn Air Force 1s. I bought them years ago when I woke up at 6 AM to drive over an hour and wait in line at the mall for the sneaker stores to open. I’m a small town dude, and these sneakers meant that I wasn’t a hick. I knew what was up. Now I live in the city and have my fair share of sneakers, but the Air Force 1 was a turning point. All this time later, it would certainly be nice to step my game up further with a classy custom pair.

  81. alex hernandez says:

i always loved af1 growing up in brooklyn.. but we always called them uptowns… is till remember the first pair of af1 i bought with my own money that i got from collecting cans with my grandfather and cashing them in at the super market… thhey were the white and blue jewel uptowns witht the clear blue midsole.i wud love to go in and come out with a pair of id af1.. cause that 275 price tag is too deep for my pockets..sneakers have grown into this big thing where all kicks are surrounded by hype u cant get anything hot anymore unless u have a connect or wait online.. even if u wait online your are not gaurenteed your size..The af1 is classic and will never lose its style u cant go wrong with white on whites ever…

  82. Samuel Wang says:

I genuinely appreciate the beauty of the air force 1. Aesthetically, it’s very simple - but the simplicity is what makes the air force 1 stand out in its radiance. The air force 1 has the power to complete your outfit. Whenever you look down at your feet, you get a feeling of satisfaction and glee.

I’m from Scotland and was in New York a couple of years ago and was lucky enough to get an invite to the nike id lab.Unfortunately i was given the invite on the day i was due to leave so was unable to attend. This has been killing me ever since,as i feel that was my only chance to make the kicks i’ve always wanted. Please hook me up!!!!

  84. Jenn says:

I LOVE ART and i believe that sneakers and urban streetwear as a whole, are becoming incorporated into the “new art world”, a pathway for inspiring kids. AF1 and their creativity ispires me. short&simple.

  85. mark says:

“nothing fancy… it’s all so simple, yet unique.” i love sneakers. Thus, to fulfill any hopes of completing my potential and living my passion, I am on the path to working with my dream company: Nike. This sounds like a pitch to get a job, although i know this isn’t, but I take every opportunity in this direction to help me build my portfolio; every opportunity to show myself and the world that I am and will be one of the dopest designers/colorists to be reckoned. Thank you for this opportunity.

bobbito i love nike period! ive been saving up to get those unos af1s, i work at footlocker like 3x a week and that really dosent give me much. Whats up Bob’BTo whats good. Well I’m from the south bx area I’m into collecting kicks. I would like to get the opportunity that I lost with Nike when then sent me a password to design some AF1 Low. I design the sneakers and when i was in the process of purchasing the sneaker I used my girlfriend C.C. and we both share the same address but the reason nike cancel my order was because the name was difference on the card and to the nike account. Therefore I would like to own a pair of AF1 ID customize by me. PEace 1…

  89. Josh says:

    wuddup bobbito,

I first heard your name fairly recently on k-salaams mixtape droppin some knowledge about vieques, since then I have learned more n more about your life and I would love to meet you. I’m sure we will cross paths eventually as art is a huge part of my life and I am currently starting a clothing label, and I hope that my efforts can spark some kind of political and social change, so I imagine I will run into to eventually, but sooner would be much better than later, and obviously creating some customs would be dope as hell.

    bless up,

    Josh

p.s. I have a feeling the customs I create will be so fresh you gonna want a pair..lol

  90. Lu Fonts says:

I deserve them because I want them.

  91. Ryan Fisher says:

I deserve a chance to ID a pair of Air Forces because I’m broke. I used to work for sneakers as a kid. I’d do odd jobs to buy Jordan’s for basketball camp, I’d sweep floors at my barbershop for weeks to cop fresh forces for school. Now I’m older (21) and I’m in college and I have a child on the way. I can no longer afford to buy new sneakers as I’d like. It kills me to see new sneakers come out that I cannot afford, and I’ve been saving money to attempt to ID a shoe. All of my attempts at contest, and even on the Nike ID website have been ignored. My wannabe sneaker head hook ups have been Bulls**T and I’m scared that I’d never be able to design/ID a shoe due to the rarity of being chosen. A shoe I’ll probably wear the rest of my life. I’ll wear them in my wedding and in my casket. Please Bobbito, You killed me with the Fat Joe episode. Please give me this opportunity. Thank you anyway for the chance. Peace and Love

so you rule and i should win

  93. Mike Campbell says:

I believe I should win because I have never even tried on a pair of AF1’s or AF25’s. I think it would be a great honor to win this because I would get the chance of a lifetime to try on a pair of fresh AF1’s at NikeID.

  94. josh v. says:

    bobbito,

i have been buying shoes for a while, but still have not been proud of my collection. recently i sold 6 of my 14 pairs because i am saving for my baby me and my fiance will be having in jan. am only 21, but i am a supervisor at my job, i am also a home owner, wich leaves me no “big” money to get the shoes i really want. i think i deserve a pair of air force 1 id’s beacause i am not only living for the next purchase. i put my family, and future first, i think i deserve something that is one of a kind, and those id’s will be a once in a lifetime opportunity!

    much respect….

  95. Exzekial Spagettios Bontrager III AKA "Chesterfield Hamburger"" says:

The history of the Sphynx supposedly goes back hundreds of years to the Aztec people in Central America. The Pueblo Indians in Albuquerque. New Mexico gifted the last surviving pair of this Mexican breed to an American couple. The male cat was later killed by a pack of wild dogs and this old breed of cat was ended. When a regular shorthaired black and white cat had a litter of kittens. one of the kittens was a hairless male. A breeder bought the mother and son and started a breeding program in 1966 in Toronto. Canada. These cats were breed back and forth to both the normal coated cats and hairless cats. There are breeding programs all over Europe and North America. This modern day Sphynx was selectively breed to produce a healthier and sound cat with a larger gene pool. The only acceptable outcross breeding is with the American Short haired Cat or Domestic Short haired Cat. Any Sphynx born on or after December 31. 2010 are only acceptable if both parents are Sphynx.

  96. Jarrett says:

Let’s see, how should I start this. I was never really exposed to urban culture up until two years ago when I brought my first pair of Nike SBs. Ever since then, it’s become a problem. The problem is that I’m officially a broke ass college student. Most of my money goes toward buying lunch at the small community college that I go to and due to the fact that I’m in a union, the dues kill my paycheck every week, leaving me with a pay check that is under $200. This is a bad thing however, because of the fact that if I want to buy a pair of AF1s or even a pair of Air Maxes, that would leave me with close to nothing until to pay check that I get in two weeks, the following week’s check would go in the bank. I personally feel that winning this contest would give me a reason not to buy a pair of sneakers for a few weeks, because I’d be happily waiting for the custom AF1s that I would be getting in the mail.

  97. Brian K says:

These other blokes are unsavory and dilated, fresh kicks should be reserved the ballers, That’s where I step in. I’m the most baller cat in capitivity, Why waste this experience on these busted mugs. Undadig what I’m cripalatin? God save the Ballers.

  99. Juan says:

being into this urban street lifestyle for only 2 years…ive learned and seen of the best brands, designs, and I ive always had a passion for doing a special colorway for a shoe that would truly reflect my lifestyle and passion for the urban street culture.

  100. Julian says:

whats up bobbito….My name is Julian and I am from the Washington DC metro area. I’m not going to say anything corny or catchy to try and persuade you to pick me. LOL! I am just a big fan of sneaks, and would love to come get a chance to create my own and meet you in person. It would be cool to get a chance to go thru the process with a legend in the game. Keep doing what you do and hopefully I get picked.

    Peace.

    Julian

  101. Steven S says:

PICK me im poor, need some shoes. I would actually wear them unlike half the people here where they sit in a glass case just to be looked at. I wear all(3) my SNEAKERS. Im sick of buying from payless i can never pick up them fine chicas you know what im saying. NIKE JUST PICK ME!

  102. Jamier says:

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve admired the Air Force One. It was the first pair of shoes that I ever owned that cost more than twenty dollars [Word to Big 5]. I used to admire my fathers sneaker collection when i got the chance to see him, and nearly all of them were Uptowns. I think that you should pick me because i have a true love for this sneaker, and it would be the ultimate experience to be able to design my own, with a legend such as yourself no less.

  103. Bryce says:

    Bobbito,

I tried for weeks to get into the ID studio. Going to a Net-cafe in a fastfood place gets old real fast when burgers get dropped on you freshest meat.

I met someone on myspace who told me they could get me into the studio. Online she was a babe in life she was a furry monster with one eye.

I even paypalled 20 bucks for a AF1 code but it turned out to be the activation code for a fake phone card.

Oh dang! Gotta go! some old guy dumped his ketchup on my last fresh pair.

  104. Nick says:

It would be an honor to rock a fresh pair and tell those kids who wait outside and brag about their shoes that I created a pair and didnt spend my lifes saving on a pair that 300 already people have. Plus I’m just plain badass.

  105. K. HAMILTON says:

I really have a custom idea that know one has done yet. THis is something that needs to put in a AF1. These will stand out all the time. YOu will see this from down the block. I am from the south and we like colors so let me put this ID to life. P.S. These shoes will put cats to sleep.

  106. Adam Mark says:

Hey man, i feel i deserve a pair cuz i’m in canada. although getting kicks up here has recently become less of an effort, it used to be one hell of a time. having to drive to SF just to pick up the latest kicks was a common theme. even still, canadian’s aren’t able to get Nike ID’s (unless shipped to a US address and then picked up, which ive done plenty of times), so something like is would be a dream come true.

    much love and respect.

  107. Steve Ruiz says:

    Nike Id is cool.
    Air Forces’ are cool.
    You’re cool.
    I’m cool.
    The lab is cool.
    Let’s do this

  108. Jonathan says:

Hey Bobbito, I Think i deserve the IDs cause i believe i can make something different and great. i actually have a few custom shoes done with my designs.i love shoes and i think understand fashion.i hope to create what other will see as there holy grail. thank you

  109. Danny says:

I’m a married father of one and a hard worker. Although I’m not balling I do all that I can to keep food on the table and provide a good home for my family. I’m what you might call, lower middle class/poor. Long story short. I wanted the AF1 ids so bad that I paid some cat for a password on niketalk, but couldn’t use it, because I just couldn’t do that to my fam (waste $300 on some sneakers), so I had to get rid of the password. Then, I received a password from Nike to design a pair of AF1s and I spent a lot of time perfecting designs and wishing, but never used it. I even entered the sneakerplay contest to get a free pair and ended up in the top 100 with my design, but didn’t win.

  110. Jerry says:

Man listen! I’ve been an air force 1 dude for about 15 years! I remember having the blue/white suede from ‘95 in high school and spilling grease on them while cleaning kitchen! I was hurt! Oh yea, what happened to the AF1 high? Can I at least get a few dope pairs a year? Remember the 90’s. The purple/white, white/blue w/ the orange strap! That’s all I want! Bring back the high!

  112. Scott says:

Bobitto This is why I deserve a free design session with you. Man for the past year I have been stuggling. Here is my no bullshit story. This year my father passed away. Right after him passing away, I shorty had a little baby boy. With Friggin ny being so damn expensive and living in a family who has no education behind them. Its pretty damn hard to get by in life. Do you know what it feels like living paycheck to paycheck? Givin your moms money from finicial aide that you need, but give it to her because she cant get ahead. From the college you go to at night after a full day of work hoping to get you and your son ahead in life . Man im fuckin stressed and worn out to the bone. Oh and to top it off, I save enough money for the 255 camp out, for some am90 that they where supposed to have 90 of. And beleave this brother, I waited 12 hours in line. I was exactly number 15 in line. The big ass bouncer dude at tha door let tha 5 in ahead of me. Im happy as all hell thinkin im gonna get my shoes next. Then they come out and say sorry sold out, Sold out WtF, tHEY STILL AHD SOME AM90 IDS IN THA WINDOW.. Bobitto , Man please help me get some fuckin kicks man. Either I am one pissed of dude but can you blame me I friggin stressed out with life.

  114. Lydell Cole says:

It all started with the AF1 for me. The first pair I ever had was a pair of Black on Black lows. From that moment on it’s been theb main love of my sneaker game. At first it was just to fit in, but then it became apart of me. I a love for the AF1 that I feel is unmatched even if I dont have the most or the rarest ones. I dream like a little kid dreaming of being in the nba. I DREAM OF AF1s

  117. WildXplora says:

What it comes down to is HISTORY…one cannot design a pair of kicks without knowing full and well what has made a ill/phat/rad/wicked/slick/dope/hot
pair of kicks…whatever term, from whatever decade you would like to choose that fact of the matter is the kicks from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s are where one has to start to learn what works and what does not…it all has an ifluence upon the person who would be going with you to make a truly GREAT & IMPRESSIVE design…I have always noticed that its not just the latest and greatest that matters…. it’s not just about where ya going, BUT where you have come from….its the same deal when it comes to designing kicks….

I would love the opportunity to hang with you, talk about the kicks from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and of course whats droppin today, plus to have the possible opportunity to talk with YOU, who has the amout of historical knowledge of kicks is actually a better opportunity than actually designing a pair at Nike’s Studio……well whoever you choose, I hope they know how lucky they really are…..

    respectfully ….

  118. jsearle says:

    not even going to front…

its been a torturous few months since af1s were given the id treatment, which was done so very hard, compared to previous id and customizing sites…ive almost done one a few times but one thing always keeps me from doing it…

if i buy another pair of shoes before getting an engagement ring for my long time girl friend (6 years), I will be single. :) shes good with free ones though!

  119. Dennis says:

Since the Air Force 1 is a classic design icon and has a huge huge variety of colorways that came out, it is vital too do something that has never ever been done before and goes way beyond anything that exists, yet not dishonoring a classic for the sake of being different and “flashy”. Keep it simple but keep it fresh is my motto so give me a try Bobbito.

  120. beezeey says:

    bobbito,

i would say i’m a 28 yr old,2nd generation sneakerfreak.i camped out with the youngins at the sf/recon+nort release for the stash af1s and got jacked after purchasing them that morning. i deserve the kicks because the boppers don’t know how to act, and to design a shoe w. a major player in the kickgame.

  121. ibn says:

I have never owned an Air Force One before. I’ve thought about it, but one has never stuck me as a “must buy” shoe. When I heard about the Nike iD, make your own Air Force One, I thought to myself it would be the perfect opportunity to finally own a pair. But alas, I didn’t have the money to make the shoe. So I’m still wanting for that “must buy” Air Force One, maybe still I will have the chance to make it.

  122. Cadeem says:

Honestly i think you should bring me, not becasue i just want a free pair of kicks, but because i appriciate and respect the sneaker culture as a whole. I really appriciate what is put into a sneaker and why(the concept and the colors surrounding the concept). Who wouldnt want a free pair of sneakers though????? I am a highschool basketball player, that attends James Madion HighSchool in Brooklyn, and I was amazed when i found out why and how the Air Force 1 was created. The sneaker has come a long way. I love sneakers, for more than just the look. You should bring me also because i respect you as a person, as a whole. Everything you do is crazy, and im not just saying that because im writing to you, i really believe this. Ilove sneakers in general

And D. Goodman would really approve u choosing me…lol

Here, it is. I am a poor college student with less than no money left after tuition (go figure). I try to stay fly but don’t always have the funds. I’ve rocked nike’s since I was small and think this would be a real good look. If you wanna pick someone who would really be greatfull, pick me. One.

  124. UpToWn T0N3 says:

what it is. im gonna be straight up about this. No time for a whole long story. im just a cool dude from the streets of jersey who puts fashion over almost everything. the outfit starts and ends with the kicks. plus i rap. so i think me and bobbito got a lot in common. im a star in the making. so not only would this be a poppin experience for me but also for kool bob love himself. ya diggg

Size Size Size thats all I can say? What Do I mean? I wear a size 14 and it’s super hard to find any LTD Edition kicks in my size so please help my cause.

    Thank You

I’ve been collecting since I was 14 y.o., now 21 (check out my collection on the site link).
    Through those years FOR NIKES:
I have missed school, missed paying rent and many other bills, and missed much sleep waiting on lines NYC style. Why? Because of my sincere and deep love for Nikes. I’ve helped Nike, with many many many others, become the billion dollar company it is today and just would really appreciate to meet you in NY for a gratis pair. Peace Bob

I feel that I deserve to win this contest. I mean I don’t consider myself a shoe collector but I do admire the Nike air force 1,2,3,4 ,etc. from my first af1’s in 98( the blue jewels)there’s no other shoe that can compare to these. They represent what Nike is about. When you pop these on your feet you feel a sense of freshness, style, life, athleticism in every step you take. I feel a shoe that can last 25 years is no more a shoe its a piece of art; a legacy!

hello bobbito, my name is adam soto and i am from aurora, il (a suburb 45 min from chicago. imagine suffering from a condition that you cant even put on and tie your own shoes. well my friend, thats whats wrong with me. i suffer from limb-girde muscular dystrophy, a condition that slowley diteriates the muscles in my body and disables me from doing everyday tasks. shoes are my escape from dealing with this illness. since my feet and legs are not to its fullest, i dont want them to visually display it also i use shoes to take the eyes off my condition and put them on my feet. being able to design an id with the great bobbito would be an honor to me, it would also be a great oppourtunity to express my creativity.

  129. Joel says:

I want my…I want my MTV…NO WAIT…I want some sneakers

  130. Dan Mandelman says:

    DJ Cucumber Slice,

You prolly dont remember me but I had the oppurtunity to meet you January 30th, 2007 at the Garden in NYC, Knicks played the Lakers (Kobe was suspended, huge dissapointment), thanks for takin the time to sign my ticket and taking a pic with me. I want this NikeID visit because as a 16 year old sneakerhead from Toronto, Ontario, it’s hard to get my fix. At 43 pairs strong, I’ve always wanted to rock a one-of-a-kind pair and someone ask me “Where’d You Get Those?” ;) To spend a day with you and learn history of the game, plus a pair of AF1s in NikeID, well that’s just unfair. I’d love the experience

Nikes for life, and keepin them clean, Dan.
And yes, I do still rock the jellyroll…

  131. Jesse Carr says:

I really like movies and books. I also like waffles and falafels. There is this famous falafel spot in the Jewish section of Paris called the Marais called L’As du Falafel where the guy in the window gets tres salty if you don’t know how to order your falafel like a tried and true pro, you sorta get sonned in this harsh-sounding Arabic/French hybrid. Across the street-ish is this bakery that has a cheesecake that they serve in a soft napkin that will make you quiver. Combined, the cheesecake and falafel cost like 7 euro, which is bonkers. I don’t remember my favorite waffle experience, but I do remember grubbing on some mean waffles in APT while el sliceador (multi-lingual blog comment squeezers!) played some treats. I like Nikes too, but that’s another story.

  132. Jason says:

    Wassup bobbito,
I want you to take me because I’m 23yrs old, Im what some might call a sneakerhead, but in July im going to have to get a double hip replacement and I’m not going to be able to walk properly or go out for about 2.5 months. I just want that when I am able to walk and “get my lite feet going” that i got some fresh kicks on. Peace

  133. Manuel Carranza says:

I think that you should take me with you to nike id studios because theres a million sneakerheads out there that get shoes just for the hype but im not one of them.
I will only buy a pair of shoes if i really like them not just because they have the nike swoosh or alot of people want them so i have to get them. If you take me i will make the best looking air force 1 i believe i can make and i know you like people to express themselves so by taking me you will give me a chance to express myself with a legendary pair of kicks. The reason im entering this contest is so i can meet you a legend and so i can make nike history. One of the only people to ever go into nike studio and make their literally fully customized pair of air force 1 mids. i hope i get picked and Thanks for giving people this oppurtinty.

  135. Kenny Lloyd says:

    bobbitoooo,

Wats up man. After hearing about this contest I figured I would give it a shot and try to win. To be honest I have never really one anything before, so your probably asking yourself why would I try this time…well to answer that I am really into sneakers and the culture. But due to circumstances(I guess thats how life is) I am not able to buy all the sneakers I dream about and see on many peoples feet. It has been a dream of mine to be able to enter the nike id store…I live in Westchester County. Not only would it be an honor to be able to sit down with you and chat it up about sneakers, music and basketball but it would also be a dream come true. Thanks for even giving me a chance to even participate in this contest.

    Kenny

  136. jamison says:

nike has soul. even when they were just putting out waffle trainers and hi top blazers (my first pair, handed down to me from my aunt), they were simple, but had soul. soul like linda jones, (and you know that she couldn’t stop loving her baby like i can’t stop lovin’ my nikes). nike will always have soul. i won’t stop having soul, and i for damn sure won’t stop sportin’ nike.

  137. remi says:

i was going to say i need these kicks since i feel you and Stretch owe me something for having my pops yelling at me for years on thurs nights cause the station never came out clear so i always had to play it loud as if the volume ever had an affect on the clarity but anways after reading the post about the guy above me from il. let him get them im sure he could used them more then the majority of use anyway.

    thanks
for all the mixtapes from back in the day hahah.

  138. matthew dowdell says:

I teach special ed and these kids are driving me fuckin crazy. Theyre all goin to jail and im not so sure thats such a terrible thing. I need a pick me up man.

  139. Jacob McEwen says:

I would really appreciate a free pair of ID forces because I live in Spokane, Wa, and if you do a little research about the place you will quickly understand that this place absolutely sucks. There are only two sneaker shops in town, one sells variants and the other’s stock gets refreshed every two years. Also, I’ve been to the NY ID studio once, but I didn’t realize that it was appointment only, so I just got to sit there and be tortured while my friend made a fly pair of mid AF1’s. That being said, I have hoped that I would make it back to The City and go to the studio before I graduate from high school (right now I’m a junior), and getting the opportunity to make a pair for free would give me the incentive to fly back there one more time.
    One love,
    J. Mac

  140. Willy Golden says:

I definately deserve these because I’ve been wearin Uptowns for as long as I can remember. The only thing is that I hate it when they get messed up. IDs, I’ve heard, are very wear–resistant, so this would be the opportunity to not only create my own design on the best shoe ever made, but also keep them forever. Mr.Garcia, Uptowns rock my world, now let me rock a pair of my own to show the world.

  141. franklin says:

i’m not gonna lie, i’ve been choosen to go to the nike id studio before but never went due to bad timing and money having to be spent on rent, though i was very tempted to go to the studio and make my own kicks. i’m a new yorker though recently moved to passaic nj about a month ago. air force ones are just instant classic no matter what color they are. hopefully i will be chosen to finally get to make my own kicks that ive designed my self!!!!!!!! thanks to bounce mag and bobitto, peace out!!!!!!!

  142. Gary Wang says:

    What’s up bro,

I’ve heard of this exclusive place from friends in NYC and to be honest I don’t think I will have the opportunity to visit the studio now or in the near future. This is a chance I can’t pass up. I love AF1s and the whole sneaker revolution as it is something that will forveer define this generation and myself. The experience of hitting up the studio as well as going to NYC will be greatly appreciated and remembered. Thanks.

My name is Mohammad Ali Mohammad. What else is there to say?

  144. Brandon Beeler says:

Hi Bobbito, my name is Brandon Beeler and i am residing here in NYC. I have always loved Air Force Ones as i entered the Nike ID Concert for Sneakerplay members. Ealier this year i was truly assed out by Nike ID Studio 255. I waited online for 21 hours for the Nike Air max 90 black infrareds. I waited through the rain, cold, wind, and night, and once i was about to enter, they had no more(supposidely). Bobbito, I would greatly appreciate this opportunity to go with you to Nike ID studio for another chance.

p.s.: the security guard/bouncer will remember me.

  145. Dre says:

    Hey Bobbito.

Thanks for giving everyone the opportunity to get a pair…Well for myself…I LOVE Designing and I have currently been out of work for 6 months and just grinding it out while at school, selling parts of my collection to pay bills and stuff…currently so broke my cell fone got cut off and not coming back soon…need to pay more and more bills… A Brand new pair of AF1 ID’s would make my day and the ideas in my brain are just running wild! It’s been depression valley for a while…but this would get me straight out that gutter

    Thanks Bobbito

    Dre

  146. Paul says:

You should take me because I would enjoy making my own pair of nike ID’s and I will bring plenty of your choice of Soda. Yes, I will let you choose the brand of soda and we can go design some sneakers and listen to some beastie boys (or whatever music you’d rather listen too).

  147. Lennie Ramsaroep says:

I should win, because I give others chances to win, and here goes:
I carry the weight of the world on my shoulder, so from time the time the rubber on my kicks unfolds, showing signs of getting old.
So, as I get old, I need a fresh pair to inspire those following my desire to take my empire even higher.
I don’t care too much for attire, just those that are broke and have no hope because they came here via boat or have trouble resisting selling dope.
If I get this new pair, I will not choke, not the kicks or under the pressure.
I will overcome to show the young, I’m not a one of one. I’m just someone, who made some out of none. And that all this could be done by Bobbito giving me, even just one shoe; an Air Force One.
    One!

I am a 38 year old Muslim woman. How funny would it be to see everyone’s face when they see you walk in with a Muslim woman?

  149. Thamson Nguyen says:

Bobbito man 255 in NY is beyond what i expected my first time there with Dj Clark Kent. You have probably seen my Nike ID forces featured on the 1thology site. I want to make it back there again to design another sick pair of forces. The first time was via Vip in there but i want to be able to visit the staff at 255 again. Kate, Charlie and Josh truly made the experience more real. Keep doing your thing you are doing big things

  150. John Dope says:

I think the guy above me should win. I was going to write something, but that was nice. Lol. Good Luck

  151. Jordan Pike says:

Whats up man, my name is Jordan and I really appreciate what you are doing for us shoe-fanatics. Here is why you should pick me (although there seems to be some fantastic candidates above)…I am a somewhat-struggling young artist based on long island, I love sneakers like no other, yet i can’t really afford to buy a decent pair. If i won this contest I would be very grateful, and I would donate all my (and my older brothers) old pairs to the salvation army or a homeless shelter of your choice. Plus i’d love to give you one of my paintings in person.

  152. Moses says:

The opportunity is indescribable . 5 to 7 sentences ain’t enough for the average sneakerhead to elaborate on a chance like this. For me it’s the culture, sometimes i forget how ahead of our time these sneakers actually were, simplicity will always reign supreme, And it doesn’t get any simpler then then the AF1. Overall, you can’t beat making a free pair of any sneaker, let alone the AF1, but making my own shoe while chitchatting with a dude who really knows bout Real Hiphop (Ex. MF DOOM) , basketball, and sneakers would be the illest. Your the dude for even doing this.haha. Peace.

  153. Sara says:

As one of the few females in the sneakerhead game, it has not been easy for me. The size of my shoe makes acquiring new pairs very difficult, especially limited releases. Even eBay makes it hard to find authentic, small sneakers. Size aside, I can never get together enough money for a pair of sneakers over $85. Nike iD’s would be great addition to a very small collection of mine, as I don’t have a pair that quite defines me yet, and I also don’t have the money to buy a pair on my own.
I’ve been to Africa to provide free surgery to kids who could not afford it, I volunteer at local hospitals and rehabilitation centers, I am constantly studying to stay on top of my AP classes. I believe I deserve something given back to me for everything that I put in to make the world a better place for other people.
    7 long sentences.

  154. cindy says:

hmm .. why should i be picked ?
i `m broke and need a new pair of sneakers.

  155. Jimmy Lam says:

whats up, my names jimmy and i think i should be chosen because where i live we can’t can’t anything exclusive or limited. i’m still a kid and my parents don’t let me buy stuff online which makes my life being a sneaker lover even worse. having this chance, lets me see the outside world in a better way, i’m a struggling shoe collector in a small town in Canada, where nike id won’t even ship to. if i was picked i would be really appreciative of this once in a lifetime chance and use it to my advantage in everyday possible.

  156. Jeff Green says:

cuz I love my mom, and she says I’m a good guy….and that’s why! Oh yeah, I’m fly too.
