Saturday night I attended the Mountain Dew Ballers’ Bash party down in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The party was at this spot called Element. If you’ve never been I highly suggest that you go, the layout of the club is crazy.
The party was the official kickoff to summer basketball in NYC.
The party was hot. Working for Dime and Bounce has its fringe benefits. I had a wrist band that granted me access to the whole club…which was huge. On top of the main club there was a downstairs spot called “The Vault.” I chilled in there for most of the night because ironically my boy from high school, Masud Semple, was DJing.
On top of the regular club-goers, some of NYC’s biggest names in basketball were there enjoying the festivities as well. Coach Mousey, H.I.T.S.’ Joe Cruz, Steve Burtt, Ball4Real’s I’ll Be Right Back and Shane the Dribbling Machine were there just to name a few.
The party went on all night. I made it an early night though…I left at 3:30.
