Headache and JFK during our huddle
Yes, playground legend, former And 1 Tour member, and my basketball buddy/adversary Tim “Headache” Gittens is medio-Boricua (Half Puerto Rican), and **** proud of it! We went on the PR Streetball Tour together in ‘05, and today at the “White Park” in Spanish Harlem, him and I, along with high-jumping JFK (another Boricua) teamed up again and took on Ray Rivera’s Puerto Rican Pride squad. PR Pro League legends Wes Correa (who averaged 38 on the Jordan led US team in the Pan Am games in ‘84) and Corky Ortiz also joined in the fun. The Parade is tomorrow, but the entertainment kicked off this afternoon.

Orlando Baeza a.k.a. “Quick Fast” a.ka. “Pop Dat” with 2 of his PR Pride high 21 points.

i had 10, came out the gate 2 for 2 from 27 feet in the first three minutes of the game and thought i was gonna have a good shooting day, but wound up finishing with only 10. had mad fun repping for mi gente regardless. we lost to PR Pride by 8, but i don’t think anyone on our squad was bothered.
oh, by the way–Ray Rivera cuffed it on me with his left! (shhh, the rim was only 9 feet though, but i still should’ve moved out the way!)
